As much as I know, he has never been part of the political process, which under the current circumstances might be a positive phenomenon.

From what I understand, he has lead the Mars Enterprise in Yerevan for some 15 years, now.

There is not much known about him if it is not for being the son of his father.

That may be not such a negative thing at this stage. More specific you are in a campaign, more people you alienate. His task for now is to build an alliance.

Additionally, there is no program that Armenia needs to be articulated at this time. There is no lack of programs in Armenia. There is a problem of execution and finalization of the transformation of the Republic into a constitutional one.

It requires a government which not in the hands of criminal elements, has no former political luggage, and a man who is good in his nature and can bring together a good team.

The rest will come.

In principal issues such as foreign policy, broad economic structure, national security, pretty much all candidates will do the same thing - this is not something that has to be invented now - this course was setup sometime in 1989-90. Neither Ter-Bedrosian nor Kocharian have done anything new in this regard.

Just a couple of more words on the program:

In an election campaign that is as short as in Armenia, and when the opposition candidates are denied access to the means of media, I don't know how one can articulate a comprehensive program.

However, it should be known that few weeks ago, Raffi Hovahannessian has published a 700 page book containing comprehensive research into the Strategic Development of Armenia till the year 2020. The chapters of this book are written by various political activists and scholars in Armenia. Given that Raffi is in the opposition camp, one can safely take this document for a foundation of the Program for the Development of Armenia.
