shiner
How big of a role does living in many different cities play in experiencing the world and expanding your horizons? I realize it depends on the person. There are those who live in a wide variety of places and get nothing out of it. Others learn a lot about different parts of the country or world. But I'm talking in general. Do any of you feel as if you have to live in a certain city/country for a while to really get something out of life? gamavor
One thing I don't like about America is that you are pushed often by the circumstances to become a nomad. Usually home is where your job is or where you career drives you. Traveling is great. Knowing other cultures is great. Learning new things is even better, but this constant 'tourism' is sickening. It is my personal opinion that the 'freedom' to move around is another way to screw up things around, and teaches you to be irresponsible. I don't know, but I know that Sip knows! shiner
Gamavor, You are right. The main determinant of the city you live in is job. Sometimes if you want to live in a certain city no matter what (because of family, etc.) you might have to sacrifice your career.
