America-Hye
So the foaming-at-the-mouth California Republicans have created a situation where Darell Issa has stated that he will lobby against the recall of Gray Davis. Why am I not surprised? These "agdod" killer conservatives in California, a bunch of homicidal conservative "Christians" who go around executing innocent defenseless old Armenian women, belong in an insane asylum not in the legislative houses of governement. Azat
I have to say that California politics have sunk to an ALL time low. I have never seen so many people disgusted with politicians. And today when I heard that the elections were back on but Issa was going to lobby against the recall(Mind you that he first poured couple of million dollars to get all the signatures for the recall, then the republican party told him "Thank you but no thank you, we are going to support Arnold", he got on stage and cried in public, then said that he was still happy that he spent all that money knowing that now at least another republican will be in office) The whole thing is a joke and I think in the future no good people are ever going to want to run for politics in California. BTW: Larry Flint all of a sudden appears as a good candidate for stupid people of California(this includes me)
THOTH
Yes - politics as entertainment - it has come to this. Well I have always counted myself as a (vocal) supporter of a prior mayor of DC - MArion Barry - you may have heard of him - videod by the FBI buying & snorting cocaine - while the mayor of DC!!!! Well I always supported him for his entertainment value alone...I mean DC is basically non-funtional anyway (as a real city) - you you might as well get some laughs out of it...(looks like California - just in general - is finding itself in a simialr boat....go Arnold! LOL - Group sex in the Govenors mansion - yeah! LOL

Azat
Joseph, so what you are saying is that is someone gets into office and has a 12 Billion and in few years time ends up with a 38 Billion deficit they should be kicked out? When Bush took over he had 145 billion surplus and today we are looking at a 500 billion deficit yet I do not hear anyone calling for his recall? -------- What the republicans have done is a mockery of California Politics and you will see that after this when a Republican is in office some democrat is going to finance the recall of that person. I believe that when we elect someone into office(and by the way Davis was not my choice) they should be able to serve their term. The saddest part is that we mst likely will end up with someone MUCH worse then Davis in the Governors mansion. Bustomonte.
THOTH
Yeah Azat - very good points...and by this standard (deficit growth/reduction) I guess we should have kept Clinton in for life eh?
America-Hye
Joseph, You missed my point. The Republicans are setting a pattern over the last few elections. They may lose this election DESPITE the deficit that Davis racked up. The core Republicans are out of touch with the voters in California. They are talking to "ghosts," people long dead or moved out of state. Calfornia is now Hispanic, immigrant and has a sizeable number of persons with alternative lifestyles.
