The bulletin was just released by Microsoft ... details here There are actually 3 new bugs they found: a couple of them having to do with buffer overruns and the third with a denial of service type of situtation ... all having again to do with the windows xp, 2000, nt RPC (remote procedure call) service I guess. A few new ones (bad ones) were discovered and the fix was made available by Microsoft (windows update) a few days ago. So if you haven't updated your windows machine recently, do it. details here I feel bad for modem users because these updates can take a long time with a slow connection ... but if you don't do it, your machine is very likely to become hit with one of these worms that spread like crazy. If you have no idea what I am talking about, and you are running windows of any sort (after 98), make sure you do windows update from start menu often ... at least once a month if not sooner. After a month or so, it completely crashed and died. I was talkiing to him and it was so funny when he said "it is probably the most expensive desk decoration ever" First they thought it was the hard drive and Apple's solution to anything is of course just reinstall back to factory. So they were worried they were going to lose all their pictures and videos that weren't backed up ... but finally the store decided to take a look at it and I think they found out the controller had failed. Yes, sadly, they used screws that were a tiny bit too long (so when you picked up the laptop by it's left side, your 'squeezed' the screws into the logic board!)
