vadik963
Hello again!! I want your opinion on what Armenia will be like in the future? What do you personally think will happen? Do you think that there will be another full scale war with the Azeris and with the Turks. God forbid, but if anything like that happens will anybody step in and help? Russia seems to be struggling with it's own conflicts and Ukraine. I love my country and the welfare of it. Do you think the economy get be better, more jobs and opportunities, general infrastructure? I just need general opinions. I read an article on Yahoo that war tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia are escalating even further. What about ISIS? Do you think we will become a part of NATO? yergatuni1
Armenia's fate is tied to Russia. And right now, Russia is being hurt by western sanctions, so Armenia suffers also. In this case it looks like we are one step closer to war with the Azeris/Tatars; war always comes from economic trouble. Neither side wants war but they may be pushed into it. I think full blown war in Ukraine with Russia will set off Armenia/Artsakh as well and vice versa. As the well worn phrase says, 'let's hope cooler more rational heads prevail in the end'. (in case of war, our best ally may be Iran). Edited March 8, 2015 by yergatuni1
vadik963
Barev dzez Yergatuni1, I have a question for you - Do you think Turkey will attack us in the future or at least ally with Azerbaijan. Do you think Russia or Iran or even NATO will step in to help us? God forbid this happens, but what do you think the next war scenario would look like? The reason I am asking all of these questions is because I am looking at moving to Armenia after I finish my education in the U.S, in 4 years with money saved up. I'm 20 at the moment and I plan on moving to Armenia because I love my country, but I want to be safe in it as well. My mother is under the impression that Armenia isn't safe with ISIS running about in near countries. I hope and pray that we will still be around in the future and that the Turks don't try anything. Look at Erdogan, he is a completely vile, evil man with terrorist intentions. He secretly supports ISIS and he is trying to revive the Ottoman empire and he may do something to us. At the same time, I don't want my move to be discouraged because of some evil dictatorial asshole. I want to get married in my country and start a family. I'm tired of living in the U.S. it's all the same to me and frankly it's boring.
yergatuni1
I don't think Turkey would attack as long as Russia is in the picture. I think Russia would act as the referee between Armenia and the Tatars, sort of like last time. And my guess, the only ones who might help us in an all out war (at least directly) is Iran. Its good you have 4 years to decide. In 4 years the situation in Armenia should become more clear to us. As long as your planning on moving to Armenia, its important to keep up on the news there, keep in contact with people there to find out the latest. Know what your getting into. From talking to people who are from there, I've learned things on the front line have gotten worse. People in Armenia are worried. The news backs this up. I wouldn't worry about ISIS in that region. The risk of a 2nd Arstakh war is the biggest threat right now. Like I said earlier, my opinion is the risk of war there is tied with what happens in Ukraine. vadik963
I certainly am planning to move there after I finish getting my college degree, and have some money saved up. I was thinking of moving to Russia at first, because I speak fluent Russian and have more family living there. I am Armenian and I feel like I belong to my homeland. I am tired of living in the U.S, the politicians are all corrupt, I don't feel interested in associating with Americans, the overall culture to me is just not my taste. I haven't told my parents about my big plan. I'm sure they will criticize me greatly and say that I'm a fool. It's what I want, it's my dream and life long goal to live in our country and start a family. It's unfortunate that our neighbors are such pathetic mongrels. Nakhchivan is our land and the Azeris refuse to believe that, same with Artsakh. And they Satan Erdogan by their side. I have a good feeling about our men, they are strong and determined. Yes the Azeris may have more personnel and more military equipment. They don't have that fight to the death mentality that we do. They are just the masses while we are the 300 Spartans.
