nairi
Well, hagarag, I hope you don't take this personally but even after I'm dead, I would probably prefer to go visit nairi Wow ... who knew being dead could be so much fun ... I assume you never received my telepathic messages.
Sip
I assume you never received my telepathic messages. I received it but it was sooo explicit, I thought it was my own subconsious playing tricks on me.
vava
Nairi! You too? Small world i guess - both Nairi & hagarag 'shine'! Wow, and I thought it was so rare... you guys'll have to fill me in on how this all works. I have never even remotely felt like I was being visited, contacted, or communicated with in any way. I'm kind of jealous...
America-Hye
Nairi, Sorry that I did not post earlier. It is imperative that if you are having these experiences that you read a number of books on the subject. Then you will know if they are real or imagined. I rarely get these messages, but they are really forceful and invariably come true. If my mind were playing tricks on me then these messages would not always come true. Two days before President Kennedy was assassinated, my late grandmother expressed to my mother that she had a nightmare that something horrible was going to happen to the President. This was a woman who had lost many close relatives during the Genocide. When you research this you will be able to ascertain whether they are real or imagined. America-Hye
Sip, I understand. Why would you want to visit an argumentative old soul when you can visit that of a lovely young woman???
DominO123
I do not believe much on the visitation stuff... but I do believe premonition. It has to do with my multiple-universe stuff, and experience. Some physicist not so long ago presented the cases of some sort of "similar"Universe, which one day we may communicate with... it is about the Quantum possibilities I was talking about.
America-Hye
Domino, This similar universe runs parrallel to ours. It is where we go after we die. It is right here. A few have been able to transcend it and communicate with those on the other side. I have read so many books on the subject that I do not remember the speific sources.
DominO123
Hagarag, my parallel Universes does not allow visitations, but only premonitions. We can not exist outside of a "medium" connections, like in the cases of our brains that is the medium. My parallel Univses, permit past present and future to interact. It is like a chess game, when you say that in three it is checkmate... it is that, any possibilities you will take, it will be over... this is when a premonition happens... it is when all the possibilities in a range(not every possibilities, but only those in a determinated range) that you may take you will still have the same conclusions... a kind of syncronism. When you "communicate" you will not communicate with a conscience, something that is self-aware... the best you can do, is to communicate with the memory of the deceased... the deceased just lives in another possibility, which he has not deceased... a second ago, you were maybe killed in another Universe, and you were transfered in this one, because you brain building the connections it need to make you, has made them. This fraction of second before... maybe it was billions of years ago... and the me that you face now, exchanging with, may be another me of the one you faced when on the other possibility you died. It is very difficult to explain what I think... what I think does not permit the existance of the soul, or a dimention or Universe where deceased goes... it permit another form of immortality... which may not be conisdered as immortality, but rather a kind of undeterministic unconscient eternity. You just are, and always were and will be a "you just are." Deceased ones lives elswhere in a Universe of living, in another Universe, where they havn't died for what they have died here... it is only a question of possibilities... statistics, mathematics etc... maybe a fraction of second before... which was billions of years ago... you just died typing me what you have typed... and that you just have been transfered here, because this you had the brain connections to run the software that is you... and that in the other Universe, they mourned your dead. Sasun
Hey Domino, aren't you making this multi-universe thing a dogma for you? Maybe a new religion? Edited August 18, 2003 by Sasun
DominO123
Sasun My multiUniverse theory is the ONLY that permit some sort of immortality without needing a soul, or some sort of immaterial thing. If only I could have the ability to explain what I think. The only persons which I can convince are the athe and those leftbrained people, not the religious ones... I had two athe persons, that liked my idea... if only I could talk with you... I would convince you.

Armat
Hi guys The notion of parrall Universes is not new please read this article below. To see ths fascinating article visit herehttp://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?articleID...EA5809EC5880000I guess Domino is not nuts afterall… Parallel UniversesNot just a staple of science fiction, other universes are a direct implication of cosmological observationsBy Max Tegmark The idea of such an alter ego seems strange and implausible, but it looks as if we will just have to live with it, because it is supported by astronomical observations. The simplest and most popular cosmological model today predicts that you have a twin in a galaxy about 10 to the 1028 meters from here. This distance is so large that it is beyond astronomical, but that does not make your doppelgänger any less real. The estimate is derived from elementary probability and does not even assume speculative modern physics, merely that space is infinite (or at least sufficiently large) in size and almost uniformly filled with matter, as observations indicate. In infinite space, even the most unlikely events must take place somewhere. There are infinitely many other inhabited planets, including not just one but infinitely many that have people with the same appearance, name and memories as you, who play out every possible permutation of your life choices. Overview / Multiverses · One of the many implications of recent cosmological observations is that the concept of parallel universes is no mere metaphor. Space appears to be infinite in size. If so, then somewhere out there, everything that is possible becomes real, no matter how improbable it is. Beyond the range of our telescopes are other regions of space that are identical to ours. Those regions are a type of parallel universe. Scientists can even calculate how distant these universes are, on average. · And that is fairly solid physics. When cosmologists consider theories that are less well established, they conclude that other universes can have entirely different properties and laws of physics. The presence of those universes would explain various strange aspects of our own. It could even answer fundamental questions about the nature of time and the comprehensibility of the physical world. Armat
Sasun one thing is certain that we know the universe to be infinite and probability of parallel universes is very probable. The article is from Scientific American and this notion is not new. Yes not certain but probability to exist such universes is real since we know only fraction of the existing universe. I hope you did visit the site and read the mathematical probabilities.

What about the big bang theory (also believed by Domino a while ago). According to this theory, our universe is expanding and we have a feeling of its edges. Also not a certain thing, but probable. Edit: I visited the site but didn't read all of it and math parts. Maybe I will read if I have time. But it all depends on assumptions. From practical point of view, it makes no difference the universe is very large or infinite. But when it comes to such hypotheses, it does matter what you assume. I may be wrong, but I am a little skeptical. Edited August 18, 2003 by Sasun

nairi
Thanks for your reply Hagarag. I've never had clear premonitions, perhaps just a strong intuitive feeling that warned me. As for the dead, I'm not ready to accept anything even if I had the ability to "communicate" or see things. I think I need to get passed that fear first before doing anything about it. As for being lovely, I'm not. But Sip is always welcome

DominO123
I agree with Sasun, there is no evidences that the Universe is infinit... but there is evidences that or it is infinit or there is infinit number of Universes... The evidences are based on the inflationist theory of the Universe. The inflationist theory explain how from nothingless there can be something produced(vacuum'"energy"). I simplified this in the past, by explaining it this way. Imagine that you have a mathematical "0" you can produce with it 5 and -5, by adding them together you obtain zero. From this nothing that is represented by "0" you were able to produce something. This is what the inflationist view is all about, if all the forces were to cancel, if energy was to be canceled, then that would prove that the Universe came to light from nothingless... there is highly suggestif evidences now. First of them, is the said "dark energy" that is allegedly beating gravity etc... Now, since I am a ferm believer in this view of the nothingless... and if in fact the Universe come from this nothingless... we are left with two choices(actually one of those could be cut into two pieces). Nothingless is not determinated, it has no border, or it can produce nothingless(that would mean, it would produce nothing, and being left as nothing) or it would produce infinit numbers of things... it can not produce 2 or 5 or 1000 things... because if it were to do that, it would produce a determinated number of things... being undeterminated... it can't do that... so the only choice left would be, or it creats a Universe without borders, being infinit, or would produce infinit numbers of Universes, that would just pupop from nothingless. There is certainly another possibility, it would support one Universe, not being infinit, but expending for ever, doing so, because from space new particules are created, because of quantum bubbles... and each time the Universe would expend and expend never reaching the critic mass, because as it creats new particules and increase in masses, it expend more and more... leaving the same density... In any of those cases... the same thing remains... we can take any of those conclusions, my idea will still work... underterminated size, or bent to grow for ever, or infinit numbers of Universes... all of those supposes that a copy of yourself one time or another will be formed, not an identical one, but a very close to it. Why not identical? Simply because even the real me is not identical, I am changed in every fraction of seconds. In any cases... I bring the only argument which an atheist could accept(the two persons I proposed to, both atheists, have found it original and acceptable). No need of any soul, no need of anything immaterial... just infinit numbers of possibilities... infinity would make us eternel... There is one thing that Nitzche believed in the last part of his life, that many ignores... funny because, it is the only thing he believed, that I liked... the eternel cycle... What he proposes, is that you only are, you will live forever, but will do every same thing again and again... after death, you will reborn, do the same exact thing you have done, again and again and again and again and again etc... The problem with this view is that it gives us no choices, because everything has been decided... and it is contradicted by the infinitly small world, Quantum mechanic and superstring... it rejects probabilities and possibilities... what does that mean is that every possibilities should exit before making your choice... they should be possible. I may jump from the 3rd stage and kill myself, or I can just not... I can do this or that... But still, I do not have the entire control. How I see our society is like a brain... your brain is constitued of neurons... they are connected with each others... and they from consciencenous and intelligence, for your personalities, forms you... depending on how you will think, your brain will change... there was a psychiatrist that treated OCD, and wrote a book, I can refer to him and his work if anyone is interested... this psychiatrist build up a method which does not require any medication... and has proven that in fact the mind control the brains connection... thats ironic, because it is the brain that build the mind, and it is the mind that controls the brain... Our society is like a brain, and everyone of us, like neurons... and the society that we form build our high level of reality, like our brains form the individualist reality... The same would go for all those Universes... they all together forms like neurons... and a even higher orders of things... which the reality formed is the Universal reality... the only Universal reality we grasp is foundamental mathematic. I said, that the mind control the brain, even if it is the brain that has build the mind... the same would go with our society, our society build this higher reality that is build with the organization everyone of us together forms... it would be logical to thing that this reality that each one of us like neurons form, would control the society itself, the same way that our mind control our brain. This would give possibilities such as the memory of the deceased, like the brain, when you lose parts of your brain, other parts would replace it and compensate... the holographic Universe theories is I think the best that would explain that. After some surgeries, where parts of the brain were removed, the persons that lost those parts, lost part of their memory which were recorded in those areas... those same individuals after that parts of the brain have compensated the lost ones... some individuals have entirly recovered their memories... this is highly suggestive of the holographic way that the brain works... there is some kind of multylayered symetric copy of each informations, where the compensated part would recover what is lost, even if this part has been completly removed. If we were to build a Quantum computer HD... after compleatly deleting a part, or destroying a part, we could pratically entirly recover it, by the direct influence the print that it left with the none-lost parts. I think, I will just stop here, it is difficult to make myself understand, I shall first know if those things interest some, or if I am being read, because if not, it would be only lost energy. axel
I find it funny (in fact sad) that people dismissing christianism on supposedly rational (actually pseudo-rational) grounds, in general, mostly out of ignorance and/or lack of understanding or maybe out of convenience, are so prone to believe in superstitions/paranormal things and/or waste their time elaborating pseudo-scientific systems to try to explain life and conscience (which are beyond the realm of science) PS: loosely-related question for Sip (whose comments on death I find utterly disgusting btw): Every machine follows a certain design. In the material world, we accept that for there to be a design, there must be a designer. Correct me if I'm wrong, you believe men are machines (or computers) but then, being an atheist, you deny the existence of a creator. Isn't that belief of yours contrary to everything you have seen in this world? How can you believe in a design without a designer? Isn't that superstition? Just wondering... Who is the designer of the designer? As for your attack, I won't even answer it. What I am bringing is not pseudo-science, it is a thinking based on the rational school philosophy. I never claimed to pocess the truth, unlike religious figures. Science is based on observation, rationality on the other hand, can be applied to things that are immaterial, metaphysical. And another point, I never brought anything about superstition, maybe paranormal, but not superstitions. If my theory is so ridiculous, bring evidences that would support such a claim, "evidences" from the Bible are not allowed, since they are not called evidences. FadiSpeak: suggestif evidences English: suggestive evidence 3.FadiSpeak: jump from the 3rd stage English: jump from the 3rd floor No, but seriously - do you think that these kinds of notes would be helpful for those attempting to understand Domino's philosophising?
