vava
Ok guys, I have a big presentation tomorrow morning. Much of the content is on CD ROM, DVD and Director presentation... my problem: I am presenting with a PC laptop (Dell Inspiron P4 2.4 etc. etc....) The videos do not play through the projector. They play on the laptop - but not through the projector. The projector has the correct signal, my CD ROM interface and frame etc are on screen. But where the video should be, there is no video!! This is terrible! I know it's not a QuickTime/Media player or plug-in issue, because the image is just FINE on the laptop. Can anyone (Sip?) Help?? Please?? Azat
Wow, I wish I had the answer for you. I have never seen that happen. Can you play the video in another application? Are the projector settings set correctly? I don't know Vava. I have never seen this problem. usually it is a no brainer. If it works on the lcd, it should be fine on the projector. Is there some special driver for that projector. What if you connect a monitor to the laptop, can you see the video at that time?

Sip
I have the same problem with my DELL. I would try it on mine if I were at home but I am still at school and don't have access to DVDs or TVs to try it. The first thing I would try is set the VGA or TV output port as the primary device in the display options. If that doesn't work, then try updating video card drivers ... also make sure to lower your display resolution to something like 800x600 or 1024x768. You may have to turn off the LCD display in the options.
Sip
Ok dude, I got good news for ya! It works Right Click on the desktop->Properties->Settings->Advanced->ATI Displays->Select the VGA output port as primary by clicking the circular button. vava
Ok dude, I got good news for ya! It works Yahooo!!! (and I don't mean the web portal!) Sip, Thanks A LOT !!!! - What a pain in the butt. This is the first time I've had this problem - is it an XP bug? Or the video card (I'd be surprised) Why won't it let you play both videos in both output devices? Win98 & 2000 both allowed it... . Anyway, thanks again guys! I appreciate the help, presentation went really well
