Vava, that place looks awesome. the Menu and the wine list look really great, But man that is an expansive place. The wine list is crazy. Cali wine seems to be quadruple the price that you will get them here in stores(that includes the 1 to 1.3 exchange rate)

:( :( We Canadians pay dearly for the things we love (and that's why I don't go very often to these kinds of places). Oh, and in case you were wondering, as a general rule, wine/alcohol is only distributed through 'the government store' - and so up to three quarters of the price of alcohol is actually taxes!!

Have any of you Angelenos ever eaten at Sasoon? In my (biased) opinion, it's the best in the city for Armenian/Middle Eastern food. :)

Okay okay, it's my aunt's restaurant. lol But it's so good! ;)

I've had Zankou, and it is absolutely nothing in comparison to Sasoon. Honestly. The shawarma (tarna) sandwich at Zankou is a joke.

It's in the Valley on Ventura Blvd. (in Tarzana)

OH MY GOD...

Recently went out with few forum friends and I was telling them about Sasoon. I LOVE that place. It is so great and it is run by the most wonderful couple in the world. Tikin Nelli and her husband paron Karbis. To me it is the best Armenian restaurant in US. No joke. And you feel like you are eating at home.
