art
I have read that in the Central Caucasian area the most well prepared armies are those of Karabagh, Armenia and Uzbekistan. So I think it would be a big mistake for Aliyev to declare war. It will put peace behind another 10 years.

Gayane
Which one of these "brilliant" governments is using war as a diversionist tactic this time? (I don't follow news from Armenia that closely to know what this is all about, but that'd be my first guess, anyhow)

I also know for fact (from people who live in Armenia) that there is a "zorahavaq" going on currently. The men who have served their 2 years are also being recruited. Will there be another war? I don't think so ...

I don't think so ...The info they gave you is wrong Sulamik. Technically we're superior of Azeries. Also consider, that if they gonna attack, they'll have to pass though the line of fortifications (at least 4 to 1 in casualties). There is no special zorahavaq taking place. The Defence Minister gave a briefing at the YSU pointing that more people with high education must be attracted to the army. There is also some roumors that the 3 month qualification courses for university graduates may start. That's it for now. Our current problem is the social trust. Berj
ARMENIAN DEFENCE MINISTER: "THE RESTART OF WAR IS NOT REAL" YEREVAN, MARCH 16, ARMENPRESS: "During the past several years Armenia did not participate in war. And life will show the effectiveness of our foreign policy", said the Armenian Defence Minister Serge Sarkisian, answering the reporters' questions. According to him the romours about the war are risen because of some statements made by Azerbaijanians. The Defence Minister stated that the war restart is not real, though "the Defence Minister should consider the threat of war real every day".
