Impressions Of The Day

Not cold at all!!!!!!!!!! It's beautiful. Just imagine, standing in front of the wide window looking outside, the fireplace is on, the stereo is playing Vivaldi "Four Seasons" and the cognac glass filled with "Nairi" is in your palm nice and warm. You sip (Not the cheesehead) it every time the water hits the shore.

I would love to go there, if one of you buys me one of the properties. :P

Any place that does not have the FOUR seasons, is not worth living there. :D

Eat you hearts out guys! :P

It is snowing here. After an unusual extended summer where I had to mow the lawn way into November, the green plush grass is being covered with a blanket of "White Christmas". :)

In defense of Southern CA weather, I'll say that I love not having to suffer through the colds of winter :) The snow gets pretty old right after Christmas and most people can't wait for summer. Admit it, I'm right!!! :P

I admit that I love winter as much I love the other seasons, especially the first heavy snow that covers everything and all you see is white cover over everything.

Too much of any weather is boring. :)

i am ashamed to admit that, sometimes, in the summer here in the NorthEast, when the temperature goes over 80F /30C i secretly wish that it would snow agin. BTW Why does it not snow in the summer? :P When we need it most! :D

Don't get me wrong. I was born and broughtup in the "deserts" of Aleppo where,i the winter we could walk on ice and in the summer we could fry an egg in te sun, except that, being a dry desert, even in the heat of those hot, yet dy summers one could still find a cool breeze in the shade.

My father used to complain about the wet and dreary weather of the US North East. And when I would remind him of the plush greenery as opposed to the days in Aleppo where we had to travel hundreds of miles to Kessab, Harem to find even one green shady tree....!

I love the cold and everything that goes with it...I love the sun out here and everything that goes with it...but too much of either one pushes me over the edge...

A few years ago we went up to Big Bear for a long weekend....we woke up in the morning and it was snowing!I could not believe it!What fabulous luck we had,it was snowing, kids were excited, dog was so happy....so this is all we felt at 6am,because you know I had to wake everyone up to tell them it was snowing!9am still snowing,gorgeous!12pm still snowing,I was beside myself with joy...3pm,still snowing,ok I get it,it snows up here,hasgetzank....6pm WHEN THE HELL IS THE SNOW GOING TO STOP :lol2:

we tried to take a drive around the lake....NOT A GOOD IDEA IN A SNOW STORM :)

I hope we get a little snow this winter...well actually I'm hoping for a little bit of Fall first :)

Prevailing thought of the day.....

I have a lot to be thankful for. Namely, L.A. weather! :P

~~

What if they already had the technology to predict exactly when an earthquake was going to hit? Of course they would not divulge this type of information. Instead, they would bring the possibility of "a great earthquake hitting So Cal" into the forefront. Constantly reminding us to be prepared. Have a plan of action ready... pack necessary items. They wouldn't tell the public in fear of mass hysteria, all hell breaking loose.

They wouldn't tell us.... Scary, right?

She can feel the pain

and also the sorrow.

She doesn't want to go on.

So she prays for a better tomorrow.

It's hard for her to cope.

She'd like to runaway.

In her heart she knows

that she can't stay.

You can see the sadness

deep within her eyes.

She would like to stop the madness,

but instead, she just cries.

She prays for strength to move ahead.

To survive another day.

She pleads for the courage to be brave

so she can simply walk away.
