No I don't think you have read even half the things I have. You might claim you have online for prestige purposes, but you certainly do not filter out information nor thinking that is indicative of a questioning mind.

Rather you like to wallow in certain conventional wisdoms and maintain your prism in your mind ( your ideology ) at all costs. In fact that was why you just attached me as a "hater" in the Feminism thread because you couldn't fathom dissenting views that contradicted with your 'truth' that you hold dear.

No Nouse - you are very much mistaken..anyway...yeah I was right on about you in the feminsim thread..and yes - i fully undewrstand where youa re comming from...very much so...and my deductions have been born out IMO....

Nothing at all that you have posted has been at all new to me...been there...done that etc etc..really....hail Cluthlu! etc

You're opinion doesn't mean much to me, nor does it weigh much in the real world. In fact most of what we talk about here is pointless in the real world. The only one that has resorted to personal attacks because someone had dissenting views, has been you, and Dan gets banned. I think you need a reality check.

Do I care? If it's not new to you, why do you even bother getting infuriated at the stuff I post? It sure as hell seems like it's new stuff that you don't like.

First of all I would like to pay my condolences to Dan, since I started this discussion that set him in such a bad light. I don't think he should be banned, rather cross-examined by a head doctor. How he became the next Pim Fortuyn really baffles me. The fact that the is saying such things as he is proved he has learned nothing of his own history and history in general.

Second, stop talking about 'our land' when referring to America. Newsflash: it was never your land. You killed the natives, brought some slaves over and are now telling them to get out, while you were the first immigrants. Hypocrit.

This is your other land. It has been taken over by people with your own beliefs. I hope you can read the letters.

Um, all I can say is people have a misunderstanding. The Holocaust, just like any other event in history, is not a POINT in time, it is a process and a series of events. So if I question certain aspects of it, I am not deny it, that would be illogical.

But alot of what was established during the Holocaust was established as "fact" during the Nuremberg trials, a farce show trial in which the victors got victors justice. I have personally studied that trial and its workings. You have not, thus you are making a judgement based on your school history books and what you've seen on documentaries and what everyone believes to be incontrovertible "fact".

Until you "waste time" and actually study something, you are doing nothing but repeating previously held views by others. Show some dead bodies piled up on each other, some cans of Zyklon B, and some Jewish stars, and voila you have a Holocaust and the belief is molded.

well well...

I too have studied the trials a bit...and i find it funny that Armenai scholars like to reference the methodology of the Ottoman Trials of the Young Turks after the Genocide to the Nuremburg trials which based the very strict rules of evidence from the earlier Ottoman trials...so are you now as well questioning the validity of thse trials to - were they only for show? Could the Turksih denialists be correct as well when they calim that the genocide is one big Armenian propoganda ploy?

I haven't "denied" anything. Holocaust and Genocide are not one thing you just "deny", that is just propaganda on the "believers" part. These events, are precisely that, a series of events, a process, as is all history, not a point in time.

Thus while some historians may question and not accept certain parts of the story, they might uphold others. For example there is a almost religious Kabbalistic essence in the 6 million figure, with the 6 pointed star, with the 6 letter world Israel. To the unthinking and unquestioning mind this may not mean much, but to me it is an area of obvious questioning because it indicates a certain symbolic religious aura.

It is the right every historian to question every bit of history, whether it is the Genocide or the Holocaust. Since when did anti-intellectualism become something to be supported? There are laws in France, Germany, and Canada, that make it illegal to question the Holocaust. Why? If anything these arouse more suspicions in me than anything else.

Lastly, comparing the Armenians experiences, to the Jewish one is not valid for they are mutually exclusive events. While to the average mind the surface is clear they were both persecuted, but the internal details differed greatly. I am all for open debate and open discussion regarding the Holocaust and the Genocide, and let the evidences handle themselves. On the contrary those that try to smear those who question any part of history, are the ones to be cautious of.

What evidence is there for your assertion that the Nuremberg Trials were based on earlier rules of evidence by the Ottoman trials? For example during Nuremberg, it was not allowed to question the crime, so by the word it became something "accepted" without having to have proven it. Actions taken by Nazis were declared, ex post facto, to be "crimes." In other words, they created laws after the crime. Nor were the witnesses ever allowed to be cross examined. There are many dubious things with Nuremberg, as with all Stalinist type show trials.

And before you try to paint me with a smear word of "Anti-Semite" or "Denier" or "Hitlerite", it really doesn't matter to me. For record purposes, I should make it clear that I'm what the centralists would dub "anarchist". In any event, you are not interested in Socratic dialogue nor the questioning method of Socrates, but rather are adamant in holding firm to your "beliefs".
