Nevertheless, we should encourage our Armenian girls, not put them down. some of you are being way too mean to her.have we considered the possiblity of her having other qualifications? brain, intellect, talent, taste, .... afterall, the pageant isn't only about looks.I agree, Angelina(miss armenia 199?)was much prettier, but I myself, having met her, don't believe she was more deserving of the honor. nellie Posted February 7, 2002 Report Share Posted February 7, 2002 Movses, this last idea doesn't sound bad at all. but let's get a few things straight...first, we can't call this a beauty pageant, because it's not at all about beauty.secondly, i'm a little confused. you guys want us to choose and have our own "miss armenia", based on intellect and character, not on beauty. then why were we bashing Irina Tovmassian, maybe she was also chosen on other criteria, not her looks.anyways, i think having competions like the one u described is a good idea. we can post some questions, etc, and having read their responses, choose a winner.however, i still don't think votes should be cast online by everybody who wishes. this isn't reliable. instead, we should have a panel of judges, not only 4 or 5 of them, but about 20-25 (judges being from every age, sex, profession, etc ).
