I love latino music but confess I have no idea what I'm doing and neither do many of my friends which is good so I won't get singled out. hahaHenry, you know most girls love guys that can dance. You don't need any advice... You're dancing will lead the wayyyyyyy!!!!!!

Sip
Harut jan in CS at UCLA, I think I saw a girl back in October of 1997. Maybe there was one more after that but I can't be sure. To be totally honest, there are about 10 or 20 people that I am not sure if they are girl or guy. It is hard to tell especially when they are all chinese. It's my 8-th year here now and the best time is when the quarter just starts ... we get a few female types wondering around the halls so all CS guys are walking around and being all helpful (to direct them to the buildings that they are looking for ...) Â But I have to say, in general, computer science students are the ugliest, most boring bunch I've ever seen. Then again, I can't imagine being in any other major than the good old 1's and 0's

I need good advice, especially from the ladies because they know what they like and dislike.[ February 08, 2002: Message edited by: henry ]here it goes Henry, the best advice I can give you:1) be confident: girls like to see confidence in men, however, be careful, we shy away from over-confidence.2)be straightforward and honest. In Lisa's words, be yourself.3)take her somewhere she's probably never been before. (forget the boring old dinner and coffee).4)give her the attention she deserves. Not too much, or she'll think she's aaallll that!!!5)calm down, relax, loosen up!!!!try to feel comfortable.6) leave some mystery. leave her craving for some more of you.Need i say more??? henry
Thanks nellie, here is the thing though. Most girls are shy (which I like) but then when I start to listen to their Uffffffffs... that drives me nuts (total turnoff). But in regards to confidence, that's not a problem for me. P.S. I am into computer and I really don't think most people who're into it are ugly, actually they are smart (earn lots of money) and just for FYI: it's people who complain all the time are the ones to watch out from. Now can i get some HUG. ;op

The good thing is that smart and/or rich can make even the ugliest guy very desirable (just look at good old Bill Gates). When I compare how people dress, behave, socialize, and interact, I can really see an amazing difference between the true computer science types and others... this is not counting the new crop of kids coming in because their mommy and daddy told them CS is a good way to make money and have a life (like all those kids that start off wanting to go to med school but 99% of them don't) ... I am talking about the real CS types that stick around to finish their BS and maybe even do MS. PS: I am proud to be one of them so no complaints here ... just an observation based on first hand experience (although there are always exceptions to any rule, we are trully an ugly group as a bunch ... especially at the graduate level!) ... in any case, this has very little to do with the original topic so I'll shut up now. ... well, it does help by saying where NOT to look
