Sorry for modem users but the video may be a bit too big ... the DIVX version is definitely the right size but you have to have DIVX to view it (available from www.divx.com ) Sip skiing DIVX avi (~318K)Sip skiing Quicktime movie (~3.1 MB)Sip skiing standard avi (~3.6 MB) If there are problems seeing the video, let me know. I am just learning how to process digital video files and all the formats ... not sure which one is good .... but in my opinion, it's definitely worth to have the DIVX codec. If anyone has any suggestions or hints about video formats suitable for online usage, please let me know! ---EDIT: Once you install DIVX, you can view the video in the standard windows media player. For MAC users, the quicktime version may be better although it is much bigger. I still have to download/install yet another version of the 'playa'! Why can't there be a standard that everyone respects!??! Bill Gates - to the guillotine! Windows media player - phooey! That's an order of magnitude difference ... you gotta pay some price to have the state of the art I guess. I think I used DivX 5.02 ... it's after 5.0 for sure. It'll take some time for it to reach a maturing stage like JPG, MPEG2 (DVD) and MP3 have. But it's definitely superior enought that it will muscle it's way in and kick out mpeg2 ... it's just a matter of how and when ... and what companies are going to start backing it up in what forms. As far as I understand, the technology is there ... now it's just up to the marketing, politics, and the investors I guess.
