Pledge of loyalty

Bottom line, Harut, is what transpired in the last week. I am a man who believes in the rule of law. I will do everything legally available (and truthful) to tear down the bastards who insulted us the way they did, grouping Armenia with with rogue states, after the ROA opened it's airspace to the US and offered to allow the West to set up bases there. You are a slave to your beliefs, and they will destroy our people.

Must I remind you Stormy that 1/3 of the residents of the ROA have left the country, about 1/2 of those remaining can't wait to get out, while the Nor Harousts are building castles and having Armenian millionaires from the West build monuments to themselves. As for your statement that we have outlasted many other peoples, I say that that was before we were Turkified and Sovietized. Even then our numbers were greatly diminished over time. If you follow the genetic thread you will find that many former Armenians are now part of the genepool of the nationals of Turkey, Poland, Bulgaria, France, Greece, etc. They have lost all sense of being Armenian.

26. Here (and at moments like this) it is appropriate to remind the world that Armenians are among the oldest nations in the world and might in fact continue outliving their foes, including America.

1. Armenians are the first Christian Nation in history;

yes

2. Turks are bad;

yes/no

3. Jews are even worse;

no/yes

4. Armenians should not marry "odars;"

why not?

5. Armenian women should not date blacks;

why not?

6. Armenian Church is the savior and the manifestation of Armenian identity;

no

7. We will have our lands back one day - when we get strong and we kick Turks’ butts;

never.The lands were given to Turks by Lenin on the condition of return we were too stupid not to ask them back.

8. Turks have stolen our culture;

you mean Armenian Frescos and Carpets?

9. We have to unite;

sure

10. Princess Diana was a 1/67 Armenian;

correction: genetically impossible to be 1/67th anything!!!!

it's 1/64th  :)

Sure it is possible (with enough rounding) :)

Suppose one parent is 1/a and the other parent 1/b armenian. Thus we have that their child is their average, in this case 1/67:

(1/2) * (1/a + 1/b ) = 1/67

If we do some simple algebra, we get:

1/a + 1/b = 2/67

1/a = 2/67 - 1/b

a = 1 / (2/67 - 1/b )

The following graph shows the possible values of a, for b ranging from 1 to 64.

http://s93725736.onlinehome.us/Sip/hf/bruin.gif

As you can see, for values of b below around 33, (i.e. more than 1/33 armenian), a becomes negative. This would imply that the other parent is "anti armenian" somehow! But for values above 33, we have the appropriate a values given by the graph.

Now granted that in order to find the exact geneology, we have to solve the recursive relationship (like for b=64, a=70 ... so we have to figure out how someone gets to be 1/70 Armenian, etc etc) but my guess is there are LOTS of combinations that can result in 1/67 after a lot of averaging.

OK, I trust Sip's math skills. Sip please elaborate, :)  what is like 1/64 Armenian?

Now just wait till Domino shows up with the multi-universe qunatum analysis. Then we'll really start having some fun!!! We can then probably have fractal Armenians (i.e. Armenians that exist in fractional dimensions and not just 3D), infinite Armenians, imaginary Armenians, and then possibly rational and irrational Armenians.

Edit: Oh, how could I possibly forget ... BINARY Armenians :D

of all the bio classes i've taken no where did we do all this averaging and this much math :blink: ...it's really quite simple! your genetic makeup is 1/2 from your father and 1/2 from your mother, thus...in princess Di's case her great-great-great-great grandmother was armenian, and so she is {1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2} or simply 1/64th armenian!! which implies that the future king of britain is a mere 1/128th armenian :rolleyes:

hehehe ... you think it's humor ... just wait till Domino shows up ... just wait! ;) :D And I think you mean 1101001100 ;) ... as far as what kind of Armenian I am, I have no idea.

Ok suppose the father is 1/4 armenian and the mother is 1/2 Armenian. Then what kind of child do you get? According to my calculations, you get a 3/8 Armenian which is not of the 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc variety.

you're right about the 3/8 i'm guessing!!! however why not just multiply 1/4 and 1/8? then the kid would be 1/32 armenian...guess it does make sense to add them together...this is the first time i encounter this kind of a situation where both parents are not "perfect"... :rolleyes:

Oh boy... I just saw your posts Sip... just wait until tomorow, I am thinking what kind of fractal equation would represent a kind of repetitive patern... a fractal equation(I mean a computer generated equation form), representing all the different fractal representation of the family trees of every possible combinations of what a 1/64 Armenian may be. :D Edited by Fadix

Wow, 1/64th Armenian.

This is more diluted than the origins of our regular humble red tomato. I bet we don't even have to go back that far to trace the origins of what originally was "il pomo d'oro", the name given to the original apple-gold tomato. ( I trust the Italians with foodstuff).

So what would be the mathematical equation to calculate the total number of Armenians in the world today? A few hundred million or more? We’ll have to start with Diana’s siblings of course.
