HyeGirl1
Which would be most like going to the Armenian Church, the Greek Orthodox or the Coptic Orthodox? I know the Greek is not in communion with the Armenian, but I have heard more about the Greeks being similar to the Armenians than I have heard of the Coptic/Egyptians being similar. Nvard
the Coptic church is obviously closer. Both Armenian Apostolic and Coptic Orthodox Churches belong to the ORIENTAL ORTHODOXY. Oriental Orthodoxy is the faith of those Eastern Christian Churches that recognize only three ecumenical councils — the First Council of Nicaea, the First Council of Constantinople and the First Council of Ephesus. Our churches are generally not in communion with Eastern Orthodox Churches ( F.E. GREEK ORTHODOX).The Oriental Orthodox communion comprises six groups: Coptic Orthodox, Ethiopian Orthodox, Eritrean Orthodox, Syriac Orthodox, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (India) and Armenian Apostolic churches.
