khodja
Frequenting this website are numerous litmus-testing Armenians. They have an image of what an Armenian MUST be. Anyone not filling the bill is immediately shown the door. Is it no wonder our numbers have been stadily diminishing?
joseph
Hagarag jan,I dont think we have here litmus-testing-Armenians,I think we have deferent-opiniond-Armenians with deferent experiances in their lives ,I have been litmus tested here by an Armenian ??? you know who, because i was born in Jordan and lived with Arabs, and he thought that i was not the Right Armenian but i was Araba Armenian,I did not feel that he was showing me the door, one more thing i feel sorry if someone leeves because he-she cant take the heat and stand his -hers ground and continue to post his-hers opinion, and hagarag you have the trend to fined names to any one that disagree with your opinion.I think its time to think this over. Otherwise he may come up with some Jewish theory about how great Jews are, and how poor (that is a sin according to Talmud) and uneducated, stupid, etc. blah, blah Armenians are. Some Armenians impose their opinions as concrete idealism, They argue it's righteous and imply any other theory has no validity. I think it's best to be proactive in these instances and overwhelm their puny brain wave activities! Show them the light Hagarag be patient.... If they are misfits and require some therapy let time be the factor, It will allow them to correct their misguided thoughts and unite us to be unbranded Armenians... http://home.earthlink.net/~artsakh/_images/reborn.jpg
Sip
quote:Originally posted by MadArmo:[QB... Show them the light Hagarag be patient.... [/QB]Unfortunately, Hagarag doesn't have much time left as it seems. Although, often he looks like he has a lot of time (and thus many young ladies are fascinated by him sometimes ) Sorry Hagarag, I just couldn't resist and keep my mouth shut, as usual EDIT: Forgot to say that I fully agree with the be patient comment. I can change how my computer thinks faster than most people can sneeze ... but I yet have to change how really a person thinks! khodja
Sip, As for many Armenians, logevity runs in my family. My great-greatgrandmother lived to close to 110. Her daughter died in the Genocide and both her daughter and my mother lived well into their 80's. Same for all my uncles. Don't know about the generation of men one generation back because they were all killed inthe Genocide. So I will, most probably, be around a while to goad my fellow Armenians to reform. You can't get rid of me that fast. Sorry!
joseph
Sorry Madarmo, but for hagarag to show us the LIGHT ,he have to see the LIGHT first,
khodja
Hovsep, For me to "see the light," would that mean for me to return to the bosom of the Armenian Church? Portions of my mother's family were Catholics since at least the Giligia Kingdom. My paternal grandmother left the Armenian Church when she married my grandfather, circa 1900. Both my parents were raised as Catholics, and raised me as a Protestant. Would "seeing the light" also mean that I should be a traditional Armenian, slavishly following every Armenian tradition in every aspect of my life? Is this what you mean by "SEEING THE LIGHT?" vava
Barev, I am new to this forum, and I have yet to experience whatever it is that has caused Hagarag to have such a reputation! With this in mind, I believe that we are not giving Hagarag a fair shake. I believe his original post quote: Frequenting this website are numerous litmus-testing Armenians. They have an image of what an Armenian MUST be. Anyone not filling the bill is immediately shown the door. Is it no wonder our numbers have been stadily diminishing? was meant to remind us to be more open and accepting of all Armenians, diasporan or not, Parska-Hye, Russa-Hye, Arab-Hye, or just plain Hye! I for one, do not think that is a bad thing.
Sip
Vava, welcome aboard and great to see that you have such an attitude You will soon realize that Hagarag has several sides (some interesting, some disturbing, some puzzling, etc etc) ... but the best side if you ask me? I have not seen him lose his cool ... no matter what people do to him or say bout him! In that respect, he is my idol I try very hard to be like that but it's not easy.
