Question on Armenian characters

I am working on an art piece and came across the phrase, djamangeen, gar oo chagar, and would like to know how to write it out in Armenian. I have very little experience with the language aside from a smattering of phrases and am eager to learn more but resources in my area are limited and so it's slow going. Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Good question.. My translit would have been “zhamanakin kar (ou?) chkar”. It is the Armenian version of “once upon a time”. Here you will see it in many languages including the Armenian.

ԺԱՄԱՆԱԿԻՆ ԿԱՏ ՉԿԱՐ ժամանակին կար չկար

Sometimes the “ou/and” is inserted to read “zhamankin kar ou chkar”

Note the Eastern Armenian variant -

լինում է, չի լինում (linum ē, či linum)

Literally “is, is not” or “(there) was, (there) was not”.

Thanks so much for your help! I took that particular trnaslation from a book and it's no wonder I couldn't find the armenian characters for it. Your transliteration seems to make alot more sense.
