gamavor
ARMENIAN-POLISH INTERESTING SITUATION http://www.lragir.am/engsrc/politics-lrahos18471.html06/07/2010 Foreign Minister of Poland Radoslav Sikorski will arrive in Yerevanon July 13. Today, Yerevan-Warsaw-Yerevan direct fight was opened. The information is interesting against the background that onSunday right after the first round of the presidential election, the newly-elected president of Poland Bronislav Komarovski, arrivedin Yerevan and talked to Nalbandyan in the airport on an unknown topic. It is interesting that two days before the second round of theelections, the U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton arrived in Warsawand signed an agreement on the deployment of the American missilesystem in Poland with not yet elected Komarovski. The information that in Poland mines of shale gas have been found, theamount of which is equal to the Shahdeniz mines, is also interesting. American companies expressed their wish to participate in theutilization of the Polish mines. In 2009, exceeding Russia in thesphere of the production of shale gas, the U.S. refused importinggas from the Nearest East and in the future from Russia. If the gasresources are confirmed, Europe is possible to refuse the Russiangas too, and then Nabucco and other projects will be forgotten. It is still unknown how Armenia is involved in all this. But it isevident that Poland is allocated some role in the Southern Caucasus. Poland is a co-author of the Eastern Partnership of which Armenia isa member. Armat
This is indeed peculiar.Could be something to do with Russian role in the region and perhaps its demise as well.

Russia's gas exports are partly Russia's gas imports. Recently they purchased 2 million cubic meters gas from Azveristan. Naturally, the West wants to limit their dependence on Near Eastern oil and gas and Russia in fact is doing exactly this. Re-selling Moslems gas to the west by using Russian pipe routs.
