Armine
Deportation Trials are emerging after 86 years. The forgotten documents about the Armenian Deportations in 1915 are emerging one by one. After the publishing of the Talat *****’s private archive documents [interpreted] by Murat Bardakci, now the proceedings of the trials in Ottoman war trials have been compiled in two separate books. Osman Selim Kocahanoglu has turned the trial proceedings and decisions that were in Takvim-i Vekayi (the official newspaper of the time) into a book named “Deportation Trials”. Vahakn Dadrian and Taner Akcam were not satisfied solely with the Takvim-i Vekayi, they added the other proceedings that were in the Istanbul neswpapers of the period and the information about the 13 court cases and compiled them in “Tehcir and Taktil” (Deportations and Slaughter).
