sounds like a turkish music to me more like Azeri! lot of rabiz music has its roots in Azerbaijan music.This is a fact not other way around.

it's not turkish, it's not azeri... it's armenian song sung tatoul style...

 

shount, it's a popular song sung by many other singers (including harout pampoukjian)... i don't know the title of the song, but the chorus, as you can pick up from the clip above, is

 

"hanik ninar e ninar e

im yari boy@ chinar e

srtum@s pahats ser@s

miayn im yari hamar e"

Many thanks Harut! I found the song by Harut. It is titled "Hanik ninar." And I also discovered that "Seghan batsem shusherov" was the same song as "Hanik ninar." Haha, what luck. Both are great songs.

 

And to be honest, I also thought the song was in some Turkish language after hearing the opening of it. I did pick up the words "im yari" and became confused. I showed it to a Hayastantsi friend of mine and he basically said that same thing Harut said; that it was Armenian, but sung in Tatul's style.
