DominO123
Everything is upside down in the other threads, lets concentrate on the democratical process itself. I wish not only a voting in this poll, but as well a justification for those who have voted. Please no fighting in this thread, lets keep it clean. I want to understand more about the situation and I am sure tht many others, particularly those in the Diaspora. Harut
i voted "disagree" and "No!"... the reason is as follows... i disagree with the first statement because i don't believe the election process (and not only the voting) was fair... HOWEVER, i agree that the results represent the population's choice... (more people voted for Serge Sarkissian)... thus, i believe this statement should have been split into 2 parts... i voted "no" to the second question because i don't believe it will resolve anything... there will be the same irregularities and the result will be the same... the people don't want (don't believe in) fair elections... and system is not ready to imposs fair elections on them... DominO123
Thank you, your comment was much much appreciated and helpful. I wish now others who have voted comment too.
AVO
Same vote as Harut. Same reason, it was not fair, but majority did vote for Sarksyan Another election won't solve anything, it will further destabilize the situation and divide the nation even more. DominO123
I removed the word fair. To make it easier to vote.
Anoushik
I voted "Agree" and "No". I agree with the first statement because I do think that the majority of Armenia's voters voted for Sarkissian. And I voted "No" because I think a second election would not help Armenia's situation one bit.
Aray
While I recognize there were some irregularities, I still believe that Serjh had significant advantage on votes. Also, IMO, irregularities weren’t nearly as bad as in 1996. No on second one. I think after what happened, LTP doesn’t stand a chance, however what we need today is STABILITY. We can’t afford another campaign that can turn into a civil war.
Takoush
I do recognize/believe that there were some irregularities; but I still believe that most populace voted for Serje. On the second one, no of course not. I believe and I am hopeful that Serje will do fine and the country should give him a chance. I don't think it's a good idea to vote again; 1) LTP doesn't have a chance or deserves one, and 2) the country certainly needs some stability, peace and normalcy. We aren't a banana republic, with elections every few months because no one wants to admit they lost.
Harut
domino, i believe your initial question was legitimate and needs to be asked and commented on along with the 2 questions above... it just needed to be split into 2 separate questions... 1. if the election was fair and 2. if the election reflects the popular choice... i believe these are mutually exclusive questions... DominO123
domino, i believe your initial question was legitimate and needs to be asked and commented on along with the 2 questions above... it just needed to be split into 2 separate questions... 1. if the election was fair and 2. if the election reflects the popular choice... i believe these are mutually exclusive questions... I know Harut, the problem is that a significant number of people already voted, which would have restricted them to vote an edited version with two questions (unless I am wrong, I don't think the forum supports two different set of pollings in the same thread). So instead I prefered removing the word fair which would have less modified the result of this poll, than submitting a two part question which many would not have been able to vote anyway. I may be wrong in the way the forum handle this though. I am more interested with the justifications of the voters than the results themselves. So I'd like to hear about the ''fair process'' by those who have voted.
