Underneath the skin we are not all the same and it's not adaptation...it's "survival of the fittest". Think about it. Many African people suffer from sickle-cell anemia. Why only them??? What's so special/unspecial about them??? Having sickle-cell anemia made them immune to malaria. So, the ones that had sickle-cell anemia survived and the ones that didn't died off. Why are most (almost exclusively) northern European people lactose tolerant and not people from Africa or Asia??? What's so special/unspecial about them??? When people in that region didn't have food to eat they drank the milk of their animals as a last resort for survival. The ones that had a tolerance for it survived while the ones that didn't died off. There are many more examples and I could go on and on. I'm not saying that we are not animals but...in my opinion, people are not the same with regards to themselves. The truth is that some people are better or worse than others and...the world is not created equal. If we were all the same we would have the same nose, eyes, hair, blood type, ect. and we would have all died off a long time ago. The world is not even the same in the rest of the animal kingdom. The fact is that we aren’t the same and some people have a hard time accepting that. There will always be the top dogs, the middle ground, and the runts (that applies to the whole animal kingdom and ranges from families, kingdoms, species, habitats, populations ect.). That’s a fact that will always remain the same. I think that the notion of calling everyone equal is wrong and that some people need to get out of lala land (at least for a while). Also, HyeFedayis is, in my opinion, right in the fact that we, humans, can create. I'm not talking about buildings , ect. (Termites do a better job and they're blind). What humans can create that is special is music, art, ect. Humans are, in my opinion, the most creative and innovative creatures on Earth. Of course, creating these things is a pointless waste of time for survival but humans are so far up on the protection scale and the food chain that we don't need to worry. I don't see ravens creating anything to crack nuts. They drop them on the ground and wait for one lucky car to crush them (resourceful but dangerous and time-consuming). Also, the dogs and cats in my neighborhood have everything they need (food, shelter, and water)(this includes the feral and stray animals) yet I don't see them creating anything. The ancient Greeks considered animals a gift from god, (which I think they may very well be) and I agree humans are most creative. But I don't like the fact, that they go so deep into society, like with celebrities etc, and forgetting more important things happening to us in this day of age. Humans survived because they created societies and sticked with one another. Started out as groups living in caves, then tribes, cities, kingdoms, countries. We're growing and there are 7 billion of us. We're loosing our human side, our need of one another. Celebrities represent a common denominator that we all know. They're the bridge that connect us. I am pretty sure the world is shrinking, that's the real evolution - millions of years ago people were humangous then they shrank into our size - what we call normal today is a miggit back then - so let them learn on what to do not to shrink, instead of making statements that we are monkeys!!!
