julianfantino
From what I read http://www.rozanehmagazine.com/NoveDec05/aazariINDEX.HTML The alliance between the west and Turkey seems only temporary. Ironically many Turks don't seem to know that to continue their denial atitude will be the very catalyst for the destruction of Turkey. Of course it seems the west also has plans to dispose of the Turkish government in case things are getting out of hand because a truly united "Turania" isn't exactly what the U.S. wants either. Its the division and bitterness within ethnic populations that matter. Already with the Turkish army interfering with America's Iraq plans is already intimidating for Washington because its not the Bushies interest. Looks like a finely diced up middle east is the west's true plan and not this "united Turania". I am sure this Pedo PM Abdullah already knows the consequences and is making a gamble in his megalomania plan, fighting a suicidal war knowing that sooner or later its allies will abandon this idea. Like with Afghanistan, the U.S. might end up cleaning a mess that they have started don't you think?? But then again, we can't always blame the U.S., Anatolia would be alot more stable today if Genghis Khan didn't invade. Building demolition is a Turkish specialty. Who in there right minds would destroy such beautiful architechure of ancient anatolia even if you are the conquerer?? Why is Genghis Khan and co, offended by buildings that are in one piece?? Inquiring minds would like to know.
gamavor
Firstly, there is no such thing as Anatolia! The area is called Asia Minor, which includes Cilicia, Cappadocia, Lesser Armenia and Greater Armenia, the Laz country, etc. to the west is the old Byzantium. As to the alliance of the West with Turkey....I'm doubtful that it is mere politics and interests. It is rather love at first sight.
Yervant1
TURKISH NEWSPAPER BELIEVES THAT LATEST EVENTS IN NORTHERN IRAQ MAY TURN INTO REGIONAL WAR arminfo 2007-10-29 17:47:00 ArmInfo. "Yeni Safak" Turkish newspaper writes that the latest events in Northern Iraq may turn into a "regional war". the source notes. Touching on the subject of regional developments, the Turkish newspaper writes: "Russian military sources told the Kremlin: "Turkey has asked Iran for military support in northern Iraq." These circles attribute Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad's decision to cut his visit to Armenia short to this development, although resignations in Tehran were publicly cited as the reason for this decision. At the same time, Syria has ordered its army to be prepared for war. The Damascus administration believes that Israel will launch an attack before the Feast of the Sacrifice. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has declared that Iran has crossed its red lines on its path to becoming a nuclear power. Reports across the world suggest that Turkey, which already has some military operations under way in the region, will launch a sweeping campaign in a few days".
