Takoush
Well, my grandfather told us before he died that unfortunately he will not see himself the day that we will claim our greater Armenia; but we will. AND I AM WAITING FOR THAT DAY Gamavor!
gamavor
Sorry we differ greatly here. I don't want any Greater Armenia. I want free and liberal Armenia in her internationaly prescribed borders.
Takoush
Sorry we differ greatly here. I don't want any Greater Armenia. I want free and liberal Armenia in her internationally prescribed borders. What is internationally prescribed borders? Do you mean something like the Wilsonian prescribed Armenia? I am talking the freedom of the whole 7 vilayets states. That's what I mean by the greater Armenia. Erzeroum, Naxichevan, Bitlis, Moush, Van, Dickranakerd, Xarpert. Those are the seven vilayets/states. Edited October 18, 2007 by Anahid Takouhi
Takoush
Erzeroum, Naxichevan, Bitlis, Moush, Van, Dickranakerd, Xarpert. Those are the seven vilayets/states. I would like to make a correction on the 7 vilayets/states of the Western and the Historical Armenian lands. They are: Erzeroum, Naxichevan, Bitlis or Paghesh, Van or Vasbouragan, Xarpert, Dickranagerd and Sivas or Sepasdia. Էրզրում, Նախիջեւան, Բաղեշ, Վան կամ Վասպոուրական, Խարբերդ, Տիգրանակերտ եւ Սեբաստիա. Mindtrap
I would love to see our 7sates given back but I highly doubt that day will ever come. I think our best bet will be to try and enforce the Sevres treaty which all parties agreed to. However, the assuming we win that lottery and have Armenians borders expanded, who will occupy this new territory? We hardly have any inhabitants as it is. AVO
Better question is, will Armenian Diaspora move back? Even if we do get those lands back, we will be a minority.
Takoush
Better question is, will Armenian Diaspora move back? Even if we do get those lands back, we will be a minority. Say if at least we got ourselves the Wilsonian Armenia; I think that if not all; but a good many Armenians would go and occupy their own anscestral lands. I am hoping that they will. We have a good many wealthy diasporans who would start investing and building the lands that was given to them by their forefathers. At least for now, I am thankful for having today's Armenia and Artsax for us. Edited October 21, 2007 by Anahid Takouhi
