We're doing a big push to get calls and messages in to Pelosi in the next couple of days.

For months, the Armenian Genocide Resolution has been awaiting a vote in the the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Rep.Tom Lantos. With 226 co-sponsors and solid support of the Foreign Affairs committee members, HR 106 has the best chance in years to pass. But the Turkish government and its allies have pressured Rep. Lantos and Rep. Pelosi heavily to let the resolution die without a vote.

 

I've pasted the info. below.

1. Go to http://speaker.gov/contact/

2. Type in your name, email address, zip code, and comments

3. Click "Submit"

4. Email your friends asking them to do the same

5. Message me to let me know you have done this

Your comments don't need to be more than 2-3 sentences long. You're welcome to elaborate, but be sure to include that you are writing in support of H.Res.106, AND that you would like her to schedule a floor vote in the House on H.Res.106.

Here in the Bay Area, Armenian-Americans have a unique opportunity and responsibility to tell our two representatives, Rep. Pelosi and Rep. Lantos, who hold the key to passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution (HR106), that it's time for them schedule votes on the resolution.

* Give your name; if you live in their district, tell them you are a constituent

* Express your thanks for their past support of the Armenian Genocide Resolution

* Remind them that the resolution has been awaiting a vote for months

* Urge Rep. Lantos / Rep. Pelosi to schedule a vote on the Armenian Genocide Resolution BEFORE THE END OF SEPTEMBER
