Sip Posted July 16, 2007 Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 (edited) Here's the break-down of the name with my very limited knowledge: Joor - Means water in Armenian Ab - Water in Farsi, also could refer to the edge of the water (as in Tsov-ap) in Armenian. Joorab - Also means sock in Farsi "chi" - postfix in Farsi can refer to the guy who works with the prefix part ... so "Joorabchi" could mean the guy who makes the socks Hey, it could be! All in all, a very interesting name I would say. But "Kia" is an Iranian name as far as I know (not the crappy Korean car). I have never heard of an Armenian "kia".
