hyethga
I'm compiling a music list for an 18 hour long trip and I still have some 1.7 gigabytes of a 2 gig capacity MP3 player to fill up so if people can start listing songs that they would listen to (regardless of language or genre but preferably songs that be quickly downloaded) if they were going on such a trip. Thanks Edited June 20, 2007 by hyethga
Sip
Everything by Harut Pamboukjian ... I have like 422 of his songs and that would fill that 18 hours nicely.

Sip
By the way, I realize this might not be really useful to you but another thing that keeps me very entertained on long trips is the directors' commentaries on simpsons DVDs. They are awesome! First watch the episode, then watch it again with the director commentaries. They are very enlightening, informative, or sometimes downright hillarious. They will point out things you would never notice

Armenak
Here are, in no particular order, some singles and signature songs by various artists. I'm not sure how close they are to your world of music, though. Tori Amos - "Professional Widow" I like this song because it uses the word star***er and because it's probably about Courtney Love, a woman I abhor. Pink Floyd - "Hey You" I only remembered this because it was featured in a movie I just watched called The Squid and the Whale. Mychael Danna - "Groong" Great version of Groong from Ararat: The Motion Picture Soundtrack. Gnarls Barkley - "Crazy" Everyone I know thinks this is the most annoying song ever, probably because it got a lot of airplay, but I think it's kind of catchy. The Eagles - "Hotel California" Awesome. Nirvana - "Smells Like Teen Spirit" Reminds me of my cousin and his grungy friends in the early nineties. By the mid-nineties they were really immersed into the rap/hip-hop culture. Katrina and the Waves - "Walking on Sunshine" I'm a loser, I know. Tori Amos - "a sorta fairytale" I think this song is about a road trip, actually. It's also from Tori's last decent album. It's been downhill ever since The Beekeeper. Michael Andrews and Gary Jules - "Mad World" This is a cover of a song by Tears for Fears that became popular when it was featured in the film Donnie Darko. karnoug
Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Dave Matthews Band (not his solo stuff, and the old band stuff, not the newest crap) Can't go wrong with the Beattle and obviously the old Metallica
