This movie clip is the music I composed for the last segment of Roger Kupelian's documentary "Dark Forest In The Mountains." The music contains traditional Armenian and classical elements with the combination of modern backgrounds. I also incorporated the Armenian wind instrument, Duduk. Enjoy! And please share your feedback! This video is Part 1 of my demo reel Greg Hosharian - Film/TV Composer, Orchestrator, Pianist/Keyboardist, Producer, Conductor, Instructor Born into a musical family, Greg Hosharian started playing the piano before the age of five. His father Edward Hosharian, a gifted composer and the conductor of the Los Angeles-based Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, was his first music teacher. As a teenager, Greg composed his own music and won piano competitions and scholarships by playing classical selections and his own works. After grade school, Greg entered the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Over the next four years, he began to experiment with different styles of music and instruments. Greg worked with a variety of musicians and later formed his own bands (Vendetta, Hosharian Brothers, Greatest Hits) After high school, Greg entered the California Institute of the Arts where he earned a Bachelors degree in Composition in 2001. In 2004 he received the Masters degree in Composition and Orchestration from the California State University, Northridge. In 2007 Greg joined Progressive rock band "Redemption" as keyboardist and will be opening on tour with the legendary band "Dream Theater" in July and August 2007 across North America. At the present time Greg is engaged in composing Film/TV soundtracks, performing, orchestrating, conducting, teaching and recording.
