Often, we use a translation and the context is completely lost, when what we're truly looking for is an adaptation of the phrase in question. In this case, I think the "meaning" behind the phrase is not merely "good luck". As Sip & Vartahoor have implied, I would suggest "Wish you success". But, if you're looking for a translation... then it would be something along the lines of "հոգական ընկեր", which would be "hogakan inker" in the Eastern dialect and "hokagan inger" in the Western dialect. If we stick to the strict definition of the word to be հոգի/ ոգի then a word like հոքեկից /ոգեկից, I.e. kits/կից/near/next to, would be a direct translation . However one of the Armenian words also used as a synonym to soul is սիրտ /sirt/heart, and there already is a word based on this which is սրտակից, srtakits/next to the heart. In fact in the dictionary of synonyms սրտակից is defined as ; մտերիմ/intimate, ընկերակից/close/best friend, հոգեհարազատ/true to heart, հավատարիմ /loyal/faithful, անկեղծ/sincere, հոգեհոգի/soul to soul, ոգեխառն/uni-soul. In Isahakian’s poem /song Siretsi Yar@s Taran, one of the lines is sung in two variations.
