Aratta-Kingdom Posted February 25, 2007 Report Share Posted February 25, 2007 TURKEY LIKELY TO BE OPPRESSED SO AS TO SATISFY THE ARMENIANS' CLAIMS AZG Armenian Daily 22/02/2007 Genocide Recognition The former president of the Turkish organizations of America, Ercument Kilic, according to "Hurriet", made a statement that Turkey in the next coming years will face the necessity of paying Armenia large sums of compensations. He stressed that several American insurance companies have started paying the Armenians, who have suffered from the Genocide, financial compensations. Kilic thinks that such turn of events may soon promote the pressure of insurance companies and Armenian lobby groups upon Turkey in order to refund the losses of the Armenians. ------------------------------------------------------------- where is azerbaijan in this? the baku and shushi massacres, before and after the creation of the republic of azerbaijan, were part of the final solution that the turks had. the idea of pan-turkism and pan-islamism is still alive among the azeri-turks. They want to stop a process that could lead to certain families in Turkey having to return even "one red cent" of the assets of Armenians and others that were stolen. Turkish engineer Melih Vidinli addressed to the European Court of Human Rights with a demand of compensation of 150 million evros from Armenia. He insists that because of insistences of the Armenian Genocide his institution is deprived of a number of functions and has great material damages. Marmara states about it, quoting Hurriyet. In the applicant's words, the Constitution of Armenia by which recognition of the Armenian Genocide is demanded contradicts principles of the Council of Europe. Engineer Vidinli insists in his appeal that the policy carried on by Armenia in the direction of the Genocide recognition spoils relations of Turkey with some states, and trade institutions suffer from it, deprived of a number of functions and signing of agreements. The engineer insists that the decisions recongizing the Armenian Genocide made by the parliaments of 19 countries laid obstacles on the way of works of his organization and violated their right of earning money. Harut Posted March 2, 2007 Report Share Posted March 2, 2007 hmm... shouldn't he be suing the turkish government for actually spoiling these relationships? as far as i know neither armenia nor any other state has put any sanctions or embargos on turkey... in fact, it is the turkish government and privet companies who refuse to do business with certain foreign countries...
