ExtraHye
My name is ExtraHye and I have Acrophobia. Don't know how and don't know when but I've been suffering with this phobia ever since I could remember. I remember when I was younger and my friends would go hiking, I could never in a million year join them. Going up the mountain was no problem coming down was what I was dreading. I hated the way the sand would slide from underneath my feet and I hated looking down and seeing how far up I was. After all this years it still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. This might seem like a cake walk for you but not for me. What Phobias are you a victim of and what have you done to face those fears. And no I'm not going hiking. BYW I have a solution for your phobia, come down walking backwards. I know that was bad but I had to say it.

UrishMiSer
Extra jan, I know how it feels to fear something so trivial to others. No one understands but here it goes.......... You think it only happens in scary movies, but my cousin thought it'd be funny to scare me to death. Anyway, in Armenia we had really high beds. On one occasion my cousin was sleeping over at our house. It was time for bed and I thought he had already gone to the extra bedroom next door. So I walked toward my bed and was about to climb in (I was about six yrs. old) when a hand grabbed around my ankle and pressed very hard . I was so scared that for a second I couldn't move. When I finally snapped out of it I ran out on the room sreaming "mama jannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn". I have never forgotten that fear which gave me pains in my chest. To this day I cannot walk to my bed and climb in as a normal person would. I always kinda jump in. And I have slept in a lit room every day since that incident so long ago. I know it may not qualify as a phobia, but I just wanted to share my fear.

DominO123
There are things I don't really like, but don't have phobias, except one, which its happening is next to impossible. I don't like high detailed pictures of the Sun (like this one), it gives me little shuts of phobiatic attacks having a flashback of Earth stoping to revolve and falling into the Sun. Weird phobia I know. Other than that I don't have any phobias. Edited July 19, 2006 by QueBeceR

I even don't mind roller coasters. I was talking to this guy a while ago and he was telling me how my after life had something to do with my phobia. That I had passed away from falling from a very high place.

allarmeniangirl
What Phobias are you a victim of and what have you done to face those fears. And no I'm not going hiking. A couple of days ago I got to thinking that I may have a serious case of Arachnophobia, because I am terrified of spiders. I probably wouldn't be as scared if I saw a mouse or something. http://www.kolobok.wrg.ru/smiles/he_and_she/girl_cray.gif And no, I haven't done anything to face this fear.
