hachik
Hi! I think Megel (Mkrtych Malhasyan) is duduk player I like the most. I have two of his CDs and I'd like to know more about him. But everybody 's talking about Gasparyan... What do you think? Thanks, Ilia. hachik
Thank you very much, Movses. Levon Madayan is very interesting, I've listened to two tracks on different CDs. Do you know where I can find more?Who is Abarantsy Valod? I know only one record of Chorni Khachik accompanying Uzbek and I like it very much - both of them(vocal and duduk). Are there other records? Yeghish and Vache Hovsepyan - yes! Old records of Gasparyan - yes! You mentioned few others. Well, I have their CDs but it doesn't make me feel anything. Vartan Grigoryan is one I like very much also. Don't have CD , only some MP3. Thanks again, Ilia.

sen_Vahan
Hey, guys! I think Jivan is making more improvises than others. In my opinion, Vache, who was probably the best of the best, was a more conservative player. By the way, I was in EtnoFest in Moscow a week ago, and Jivan was one of the performers there. That was great! And what is interesting that I saw only a few Armenians there... I did not even know that he plays Zurna too.
hachik
Don't forget about Gevorg Dabaghyan. I've got his new CD "Miniatures" (Trad. Crossroads) , he plays here some ashugs' songs, church hymns and also his version of mugam "Shushtar", it's fantastic.Jivan also has new CD "Nazani" - he recorded it in Moscow (with H.Mouradian on kamancheh) and I liked it much more than his other recent works( Nazeli, Fuad, Armenian fantasy ). Hope you can find it in States.
