Zartonk
WHY DID EUROPEANS CHOOSE THE “MONSTERS”? The Armenian Apostolic church representatives are concerned with the victory of Finnish group Lordi at Eurovision 2006. In a discussion held at Ararat diocese, priest Tovma Andrasyan said that the victory of the “monsters” indicates that Europe is undergoing a phase of decline of moral values. The priest also quoted statistics saying the higher the standard of living in European countries, the more mentally ill they have. “The churches in Scandinavia are empty,” he said, adding that there is no greater sin than indifference. Please give me a break! It is pop, it is a show, have a sense of humor: Nobody is worshiping Satan...
MosJan
ARE TURKS BEHIND THE 10 POINTS FOR ANDRE? The 10 points that Andre, Armenia’s representative at the Eurovision-2006, received from Turkey have incited much talk. According to Yerkramas newspaper of Russian-Armenians, Armenian reader from Ankara told the paper that the Turkish population of the country did not influence the voting during Eurovision-2006. The reader stated that the ethnic Turks had boycotted the voting as they were not allowed to vote for Turkey’s representative and that most of the people behind the 10 points from Turkey were Armenians (including Islamic converts and those hiding their ethnic background), Kurds, Jews and other nationalities

MosJan
THE ARMENIAN SINGER ANDRE WHO HAD SUCCESSES IN «EUROVISION» GIVING AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW TO «ARAVOT» REFUSED TO ANSWER WHO WOULD BE SENT TO «EUROVISION-2007». * DID THE THIRD POWER MAKE CURSE? 'The current situation in the political field is false and directed by the third power»,- the «NU» member Aghasy Arshakian said in «Hayeli» club. In his opinion that third power has organized «mutual offences and curses» between OEP and «NU». And that situation is profitable for the «President and his adherents». MosJan
ANDRE ALMOST SWALLOWED THE MICROPHONE [05:02 pm] 31 May, 2006 image Making the journalists wait for about 20 minutes as usual Andre arrived and asked them to speak not about the past but about the future plans. And still, the conversation was mainly about Andre’s participation in “Eurovision2006”. Andre confessed that his performance was not spotless. According to him, it is not right that he forgot to sing the last sentence, «Perhaps you didn't notice that I almost swallowed the microphone. I don't know how it happened. Nothing of the kind had ever happened during the rehearsals», Andre said. According to him, the competition assesses not the abilities of the singer but the song and the show. “Eurovision” is a totally unpredictable competition. If during the previous competitions ethnic-modern styles were highly assessed, this year rock music was given more attention. I like rock music, but as for the Finnish and Lithuanian bands, they were as if making fun of the “Eurovision””, he said. As for the results of the voting, the 10 points from Turkey were not strange for Andre. On the contrary, he was surprised that he did not receive 12 points from Turkey. “The Turkish side kept mentioning that they have a positive attitude towards our song. Moreover, they were well acquainted with many of my songs,” the singer said. Andre does not deny that the Armenian Diaspora had a great contribution to his victory. The Armenian community of France played a major role. Armenia was one of the most active voters: over 250 thousand people participated in the voting.
