Yervant1
When some people realizes that the debate is not going in their favour and loosing it, they resort to insults in order to garnish some cheap points. Please feel free to add your's. 1- Who do you think you are? 2- Who do you think you are talking to? 3- Do you know what you are talking? 4- You have no clue what you are saying. 5- You are Blinded. 6- You are brainwashed. 7- You are misguided. 8- You have not found the truth yet. 9- Once you agree with me you will find the truth. Of course all these have other meanings but I'll leave that up to each person to decide.
Takoush
Yervant: And why are you continuing the debate that is supposed to be bearied already. Are you doing good to the ones that have already been hurt? Why are you naming the so called words from the people on the defensive side and not naming the words that have been said from the offensive ones? I don't even dare to say it; as it wasn't pretty. Please, cool it already and stop lengthening and putting fire on the oil. Thank you. Edited February 20, 2006 by Anahid Takouhi

It's an exchange of opinions and that's that. Second what makes you sure that these were said by one side only, what you say it's your conclusion not mine. If you remember both camps were using these remarks not just one side. Thirdly I was trying to tell everyone to discuss the issue rather than insulting each other. As for putting oil on fire that's your conclusion as well. Thanks.
Anahit
It's funny, Yervant1, what u wrote. I just don't quite understand how can someone lose a debate: maybe i haven't experienced it yet. but i can't really understand. i mean, it has happened, probably, that someone didn't agree with me, but i have never felt like i lost, or something: HOW CAN SOMEONE LOSE AN EXCHANGE OF OPINIONS? i am always sure that what i say is/should be quite unique and different (just like everyone else's opinion is) and am sure that noone is gonna agree with me when i disagree 100% with someone, and don't like or respect d person enough to spend time on him/her explaining why i disagree, i just listen without saying A SINGLE WORD! like that i save my time. and when the person suddenly realizes that i haven't been answereing (by that time probably i'd already begun to think about my plans for the day ), and asks me:"don't u agree?/thing so?" i just say:"NO". and the unswer noramlly astonishes the person so much, they he/she stops the topic right away i think it is very normal to have different opinions and feelings for one sertain thing, and noone can be a winner or a loser in this case. at least, i have never felt one. and even more, people who disagree or question me, teach me more by their questions, than the ones who think likewise. whenever i want to write a paper, i talk to my classmates, friends and professors about my ideas and tell them: "ok, now attack me!" and i write down all the disagreements and questions, then go back home and study on them. Well said not because you agreed with me, but things you said later on. I don't want to sound petronizing to you, but yu're on the right track of mind. No point debating someone who's mind is made up.
