You mean Հրյա Կարապէտ/ Հայկ Կարապէտեան there is such a person in Hartford, Ct. Is he related to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg? The commentator on that channel that airs the Holocaust 366, yes, three hundred and sixty six days a year? Of course ,PBS has also aired such blah videos of an Armenian woman from Worcester who takes a nostalgic trip to her ancestral home in Arabkir, “The Journey“, prepared and edited by Ted Bogosian, who all but laments the fact that Armenians and Turks cannot live together in harmony. To paraphrase a song that may have made Hovannes Badalian famous- “Yeghbayr Dartsan Hayastan (Turkestan)Azerbaijan”. I was actively involved in the airing of that video on our local PBS channel much to my consternation that it was nothing but a trip of nostalgia lamenting the days when Turks and Armenians lived in harmony(?), and that the Armenians left and abandoned their homes with no provocation. The saddest part is that the only relevant reference to that video is found in the Tall Armenian Tales ( mainained and managed by Turks) on the internet. Go ahead search using “Armenian-journey-PBS-Bogosian” on the net and see what you get. It reminds me of the time when I asked a prominent “Armenian” of our community, a trustee of the church, who had just returned from a trip in Europe, if he had visited Yerevan , or if he intends to.
