Sip
wow those pics are HUGE ... please try to keep them down to around 50K in size and less then 800x600 in resolution when posting directly in threads. Feel free to link to big images. I updated the title for now. Nice pictures though (the couple I did manage to see). I'll comment on the rest later when I can see them Edited August 20, 2005 by Sip

(Sipanchik you own me lunch for the above comment) style_images/master/snapback.png I might have to take a road trip now to get a special horseradish As far as my screen(s), it really varries. My home desktop has 2 screens ... a 22" running at 1024x768 (I hate looking at really small resolution), and a 19" LCD at 1280x1024. But then I also tend to surf on a sony T-series laptop with a 10" LCD ... not much room on that... it also depends on how many things I have downloading/uploading in the background which sometimes really affects my surfing bandwidth. Kiluminati ... I like that CPU fan! I recently had to upgrade mine since mine would overhead (AMD 3200XP). I got one of these Volcano fans and it made a world of difference. Before my CPU would get to 70F and sometimes crash (at 73F). Now, even at only 3000 RPM, it rarely gets above 50F. If I bump the fan up to 3500-4000 RPM, CPU stays at 47F! Sip
Mine is the Asus A7N8X-E MB .. excellent board with the Nvidia nForce chipset and 6 channel audio, SATA interface, USB, Firewire, etc. Actually the first one I had just died on me 2 weeks ago but the place I bought it from replaced it under warranty since Asus has a 3 year warranty. I had never seen a motherboard die like that before but it just went POOOF and wouldn't start up again Video card ... Asus Radeon 9600XT ... the main reason I went with Asus on this one was because it had video in and supports dual monitor with VGA and DVI. A lot of other Radeon boards didn't have one or the other. Memory: 1 Gig Corsair XMS 2-3-2-6 (matched pair running at 400Mhz) ... I tried some others includig Kingston KVR but they weren't stable on this motherboard at 400Mhz FSB. I've had this set up for more than a year and a half so it's a bit old but it has worked quite well.

DominO123
You are lucky to not have problems with ASUS warranty. They're the worst. They'd made me wait, each time I had to use it. And the two major changes, they replaced the board, with ones with a used previous revision. BTW, I had your problem once, with my other computer. The board just burned. I havn't even overclocked that one. I wonder if it is a problem of quality control ASUS has.
Sip
I am not done with the warranty yet but I didn't have to deal with Asus directly. I sent it back to the place I bought it from (mwave.com) and they have been good with this kinds of things in the past. But for now, I paid for a new one because I needed it right away ... they said they would refund my money once they got the old one. So I'll have to wait and see till tomorrow if they actually do refund.
