Those fliers that they handed out are written in a sophisticated language which these Turks&Azeris cannot understand. Our problem is that we dont understand their psychology. We have to learn how to bark, when it is necessary to talk to dogs.

 

Turkish people feel like their authorities are their parents. In Turkish mind, the government does not exist for the individual, the individual exists for the government.

This is what the theory of law and state classifies as Asiatic type of statehood.

One of the reasons why Communism tumbled down in former communist East Europeans countries is exactly because of this. This same type of governance however, flourishes in China, North Korea and countries like Turkey where the predominant mentality sees the patriarchal family structure as a micro model for the whole nation. Not by accident the founder of the "modern" Turkish Republic is called Ata-Turk (father of the Turks, funny though he was actually Jewish:)). The other extreme is the corporate type, i.e. USA. The whole country is a big corporation whose structure is modeled after the corporate lather.

 

What is more interesting is that both can co-exist and enjoy each other:)))!
