Zartonk
He is one of the most superb but surley underrated (esp. in the West) Armenian painters of the late 19th century. His inspirations included the Armenian daily life , folklore and in a one case the Persian epic "Shah-Name" (Ferdosi). I remember seeing a gallery of his works on the old Armenianhighland.com but after googling his name only two sites were found. Does anyone have any extended information on his biography or career, and is he ANYWHERE on the Internet?
