Ludwig9 Posted March 21, 2005 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Turkey's decision continues to resonate The Associated Press WASHINGTON — The level of insurgency in Iraq would not be so high if the U.S.-led coalition had been able to invade through Turkey, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Sunday. Rumsfeld told “Fox News Sunday” that if the United States had been able to get its 4th Infantry Division into northern Iraq through Turkey, more of Saddam Hussein's Baathist regime would have been captured or killed, diminishing the insurgency.
