I discovered it from Narek.com, where they have a 23 second clip of it being sung by Nersik Ispirian. Interestingly I just discovered (literally about 5 minutes) that I have Karnig's version of it titled "Baderazmek gnoum." Both versions are great, but there is a major difference: Nersik's version uses traditional instrumentation, while Karnig's does not. I prefer the music on the former, but the singing of the latter. Arpa Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 Lanj literally means "chest", and side/rib as in "kogh(m)". It may be related to some Europeans words like "lung". Lanj is usually used to describe the side of a mountain rather than human/animal anatomy. Sari lanjin, (or leran lanjin) is best trnslated as "at the mountainside".
