Armat
Dear forum members I am writing this simply to share my condition, which would explain my absence from the forum lately and hopefully have some great suggestions. On march 1st we had a good snowfall and as usual I went out and shoveled my drive way rather too quickly since I wanted to finish early. I did put too much stress on my back and felt it. After an hour going up on my stairs to second floor I felt a sharp pain on my back and total immobility. The pain was excruciating, sharp. I thought I broke something significant. When I looked myself in the mirror to my horror my spine was swayed and tilted to my right and my pelvis was totally uneven. You can imagine what that image did to me. I went to my doctor and he thought I had a severe muscle spasm and prescribed narcotics and painkillers which after ten days of use no improvement. His logic was after some time the pelvis muscles would relax to get to their original place… I checked in to chiropractor and he scared me even more. I am depressed now and in pain. Has anyone had a similar experience that could be usual?
Accelerated
with back problems its always difficult to find the underlying issue, the best advice anyone can give you is to consult THE BEST SPECIALIST you can find.
Azat
wow I am very sorry to hear that Rubo jan. ED
this is not becouse of snow, its becouse he dident use his brains and carried 200lb TV alone all the up to the second flor, Just lay down and take hot bats, stay away from pain killers or you'll be addicted to them, The best way to tell if its a disk its an MRI, can be number of things, dislocated disk, harniathed, raptured or simply a muscle pain, in that aria you have a very thick muscles, once it takes a hit recovery takes a very loooong time, mounts....... Stormig
Do not be depressed. Don't stress yourself, but be quick. Everyone has a best specialist, so I hope you can muster the condition to visit at least a couple and see if they agree on what must be done - unless there's anything urgent that must be done fast. Hopefully you'll recover to an optimal point. After that you're going to have to take care of yourself - watch out for drafts, take exercise lightly, etc., and, most importantly, remember your age. Get well soon.
Stormig
BTW - contrary to Edward's advice - do not take hot baths unless it is absolutely certain that it is OK to do so. You may or may not have edema and hot baths are the enemy if that is the case. There may even be doctors that advise this - but seek out more info, and there will be those that advise against it. Armine
my suggestion would be to go to a massage therapist in about a week, but make sure they do not do deep tissue, in about a month you can get deep tissue. This will help relax your muscles. If you go see any therapists let them know to warm up your muscles with kwan loong oil or tigger oil. It looks like you forze your muslces and the pressure you put on you body caused the change in the bones; it is possible that you had multiple muscle strains, and with the spasms can cause a great deal of pain. Dont let the chiropracter scare you that much, they specialize in bones, massage therapist aka myo (muscle) therapist, specialize in muscle. Just make sure you research and find a good therapist because there a whole bunch who dont know what they are doing, they do spa massages and that will only relax you at the moment but will not help in the future. Hope this helps. Take care, and give your body a rest, but no too much where you are not moving much, maintain a balance. Hope you feel better soon. p.s you might wanna get a x-ray and make sure everything is alright, it is difficult to judge everything from the outside when we cannot see what is going on inside. Armat
I found this on the net which exactly desribes my condition.I am going to physical theropy tues and planning to show this see if it is.It is a response to a patient. I deal with this type of problem a lot and find that about 75% to 85% of the people I treat with low back pain suffer from Piriformis Syndrome. This troublesome muscle is used to rotate the femur and, because of its positioning in the body, if it goes into spasm it often causes the pelvis to become misaligned. Another very common problem is that the SI joint locks up, usually on one side only, causing severe low back pain and loss of mobility. Symptoms include Sciatica, low back pain, pain in other areas of the back, neck and / or shoulders, pain increased on bending forward. A simple test for the SI joint problem is to get your partner to place their thumbs in the dimples made by your Sacro Illiac joints, (these are located just above the buttocks at the base of the spine and are either side of the centre line about 5 to 7 inches apart) As you bend forward your partner will notice one thumb lifting up and the other staying where it is. If this happens you have a locked SI joint. Treatment is fairly simple for any competant Massage Therapist and consists of applying pressure directly to the offending muscle after first warming up the muscles of the buttocks with deep tissue massage. The Piriformis muscle needs to be de-stressed by applying pressure to the most sensitive part of the spasmed muscle. Treat the least affected side first and then move to the worst one. I find that the least painfull method of treatment is to ask the client to breathe in deeply and to apply the pressure on the outward breath by following the breath out. As the client breathes in for the second time I keep my thumb or elbow in place so that they apply their own pressure. I again follow the breath out by taking up the slack in the tissues with pressure. This procedure is repeated for 3 or 4 breaths. Usually on the last breath you will feel the muscle give a kick as the spasm releases. It is unusual to have to repeat the treatment more than twice. It is a fairly painful procedure so beware. ED
best thing now bro for you is lying down and hot bats, remember i went true the same thing years ago, your muscles need to open up and allow a blood flow. jigarxanyanin hishetsi, "martik marten mej gtsum indnits xorhurt hartsnen sra hamar hech enq"

Has anyone had a similar experience that could be usual? style_images/master/snapback.png You can try ' light ' yoga, the keyword here is light. It will stretch out the bunched muscles and relax them as well as mental relaxation. I had severe lower back swelling in the past, to the point where i couldn't move nor walk. My doctor told me to do stretch exercises. In your case, I'm not very sure. I don't want anything bad to happen if you attempt it. Try it lightly and see if it gives you any good results. I hope you feel better Armatig http://gogortilozforum.com/style_emoticons/default/nov20.gif
