Scotch

I suppose when you are really young you get your high on beer then graduate to wines and at some point discover single malts then you are qualified to be a full-fledged adult. I love Scotch and recently got more into it. I bought today a Jura 10yr old Scotch from Isle of Jura.

Nose: Oily, lightly piney, earthy, salty, dry

Palate: Sweetish, soft, malty, oily, slowly developing a slight island dryness and saltiness

Finish: A little malty sweetness and some saltiness

For $27.00 750ml bottle is a great value.

This glass is for Hye forum health! :D

Please feel free to suggest your faves and inputs

wanted to add that even two oz. of this staff puts me in happy mood.I swear I am a better person now! :)

Armat jan I have been doing this from day one and on my 30 year loan I have only 18 left after less than 6 years of payments. :)

BTW it is not just the extra payment but also they get half your monthly payment 2 weeks in advance and that helps alot as well.

Scotch. I cant seem to get into this. Have tried MANY great scotches but have never fallen in love with any.

I know Vava is a big fan.

Glen Rothes is my current fave, but this past weekend a friend of mine took me out and treated me to some 18 year Talisker. MmmmMmmm! He actually convinced the barmaid to pour doubles everytime I ordered a drink (he picked up the tab for 'second' part of each order) and he did it in SECRET! Needless to say, I was quite warm & fuzzy by the time we left - I kept raving enthousiastically about how generous they were with their drinks - "The best deal in town!" I said! All the while my friend was laughing at/with me.... :)

Azat jan I am glad you took care of it early. As always things come late in my direction on all things...I guess I am a late bloomer :D

Vava jan

I am glad you like scotch. It just makes me happy even two oz. of it which wine doesn't do.

Glen Rothes ,18 year Talisker .I will check it out.On different note I took 10 yr Ani Armenian brandy to work and my coworkers went buzerk on it.It is good stuff. With all the freakin cheating going on I am almost not sure to trust what says on the battle.I blame our creativity for this.

When in LA everyone told me half that staff is colored basic brandy.I could not confirm it but still was suprised that more then one person told me the same thing.
