Nané
Do we really learn from our mistakes? How many of us can honestly say that we don't repeat the same minor and major mistakes during the course of our lives?
Sip
How else would you explain my dislike for tomatos? I wasn't born with it. I learned from my mistakes. This is a curious thread because there seems to be an obvious answer but I can't help but ask myself why you would be asking this! Edit: Or are you asking if there are some mistakes which we tend to repeat over and over knowing full well they are mistakes? Nané
Edit: Or are you asking if there are some mistakes which we tend to repeat over and over knowing full well they are mistakes? style_images/master/snapback.png Sort of. At times we may realize it's a mistake and at other times we may not realize until later.
Nané
Sometimes I learn from my mistakes but then I quickly forget and repeat the mistakes. style_images/master/snapback.png Why is that? Do we really forget or do we choose not to remember?
Sasun
Why is that? Do we really forget or do we choose not to remember? style_images/master/snapback.png That's a good question, and I think the second one is the answer in my case. You caught me there

Nefertiti
but isent there are mistakes in life, you knowingly would love to do them all over? style_images/master/snapback.png Its like reading a book, that you were so into. You know its over, you are on the last pages, hurts, but it gave you so much pain with pleasure. But its over! Constant memories of the characters, the plot, the climax, the hero, the cover of the book, how great it looked. Opinions, flashbacks, temptations, lust, attachment! But its over! Time slowly smooths everything, life goes on, memories are there, but they fade away. Then what happens, you accidentally come across to the same book, looks as great, brings memories! You grab it, flip the first page, second.. then you realize, mystery is gone, its AN OPEN BOOK, and you wish you never found out that it was all illusion! sev-mard
Do we really learn from our mistakes? How many of us can honestly say that we don't repeat the same minor and major mistakes during the course of our lives? style_images/master/snapback.png I make it my business to do exactly that. And on top of that, I watch the Lives of others and avoid many mistakes in general. I'm vigilant at this, seriously, it sounds crazy but I believe that mistakes in many cases can be wholly avoided. I'm a very foward thinker and weight the consequences in the future of an action before I even do what ever it is I'm thinking of. Sounds like a lot and it is, requires a lot of mental stress I put on myself. I mean c'mon we're humans, babies and animals learn from mistakes, repitions and experiences, but seemingly adult humans have more mistakes in their daily lives than supposedly less inteligent creatures.
