  4. The reason being that they cant intentionaly put the population 'to the sword', because if they did the whole point of their invasion would be lost. On the other hand the Azeris would have no such qualms, their intention would be to 'cleanse' Artsakh not to 'liberate' it. Guerrilla warfare thrives in an unfriendly (to the occupier) populance, when the populance is wiped out there is no place for insurgents to hide.
  5. hehe, Lion I dont think I accepted your version of events as fact, but it does make more sense than either, Azeris massacring their own for political gain (official Armenian version of events) or Armenians providing a safety corridor for civilians only to murder them as they approach Azeri held positions (official Azeri version). PS. thanks for the detailed post
  6. Thanks LionHeart, that certainly makes more sense. And I do appreciate the work you guys put in to promote the truth on Wiki.

  8. Well, if all these are true quotations, I think I am suitably convinced. We need to do something about the Wiki pages then, and it seems like they had Human Rights Watch convinced....
  9. yea, my avatar is really my girlfriend in disguise
  10. interesting.....obviously a large number of civilians was killed and the Azeris tried to use the event to paint the Armenian fighters in the worst light possible. I still find it hard to believe though, that they knowingly fired on their own civilians for political purposes. Too many people involved IMO....
  11. I cant find this report. Was it a TV report, newspaper report? A google search of "D-Press Newsagency Moscow" only comes up with links that are related to Khojalu. Where did he say this? To whom? Anyone have a link to the article quoting Mutalibov?
  12. yea I had a look at a few topics. In my eyes our version of events: "Azeri soldiers shot their own civilians for later political exploitation" sounds like an unlikely scenario. In any case if this event is a fabrication we should be fighting it in Wiki, we need to find out what information the Human Rights Watch reports are based on. As far as I see, this is Azeris only really credible support.
  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khojaly_Massacre http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagorno-Karabakh_War This is a great black blot on our otherwise heroic victory. If Armenians are/were responsible, something should be done to about it.

  15. Sif. My (new) avatar is the best! sorry Extra
  16. Wow, small world. Thats the village my mums entire family comes from. They are Armenian Catholics who moved into the area in mid-1850s from the Erzrum area. From what I heard from relatives while I was in Armenia a couple years back, only the old remain. Cant these Georgian scum wait a couple decaded for the remainder to die off before moving in!?!

    Phobias

hehe, I was going to reply that I had no phobias, but the previous post reminded me of Armenia's elevators....brrrr.
  18. I can actually draw parallels between Israel and the Crusader Kingdom. If we follow this analogy its only a matter of time before a strong leader emerges to lead/unite the Arabs/Muslims in the region and crushes Israel through a sheer force of numbers.
  19. He probably was just as bad as any other invader/conqueror of his time. And the only reason he has such a bad rep is because he scared the sh!t out of the Europeans and they never defeated him.
