  1. Hi friends, Did you know that the Jewish lobby in the U.S. is trying to undermine the Armenian Genocide Resolution? Hard to believe, huh? Here's an excerpt: "...he didn't even want to imagine what it would be like if Turkish-U.S. relations were further crippled by the Armenian bill after the row over Iraq. U.S. diplomats express similar concerns. However, the bill has already turned into a scare for the Jewish lobby in the United States. The only hope, for now, is Turkey's opening up its border with Armenia."
  2. I blogged about this. What's funny is how some Azeri news sources took it to mean that Armenians were building a town for them to live in, exclusively!
  3. I'm curious to know, just how reliable is it to send something to Armenia via a shipping company? Will it get there? Will anyone insure it?
  4. Just pointing out that there are 6 million (2004 estimate according to WikiPedia) in the Diaspora. Not that it makes much of a difference compared to our neighbors, but just a factual pinpoint!
  5. Thanks for the positive comments, guys!
  6. Hi guys, I just finished with a top-10 list of Yerevan's statues, with pictures! I know, I know: you're thinking that statues are boring, right? Wrong! Statues represent your history, your country, maybe even your name. Each one is a snapshot of an important individual, event, or idea. I included pictures and descriptions with each one. I hope you enjoy it!
  7. C'mon guys, mellow out. Stegh bolor@s hayerenk u piti irar het yola etank. Charzi pokr mi bani hamar irar vra paterazm haytnenk.
  8. Thank you so much for that information! I will blog this information and credit you!
  9. Keep in mind, the S300s are SAMs - Surface to Air. Even if we shoot their planes down - assuming they don't take out the SAMs before anything - we are still lacking in ground force equipment, such as tanks. Again, this post was meant as a "what if" scenario. I don't know about your source, but the Mig 29s are most likely the Migs in Russia's 102nd base, under Russian control. If I had it my way, we wouldn't have any conflict and all these billions would go to better use. But I don't.
  10. What kind of a spy would come to an Armenian Forum for Google earth screenshots? I think it's fine. Anyway, we need new planes: we recently bought 10 SU-25s, which are old as hell, but Armenia paid $100,000 each, while Azerbaijan bought the newer SU-27s, but paid $15-17 million each. We're smart folks. I'm not suggesting there's going to be war, but if Azerbaijan decides to reclaim "its" lands, then that would be a plausible scenario. Obviously Russia would come to our defense, but Turkey would also help out Azerbaijan, as they have been doing for a while. But the main conclusion was that Armenia should stay very close allies with Russia. A power station here, a corporation there should do the trick! As for the numbers, I did say they could be off, because of differing numbers in different sources.
  11. Hi all, I did some research to find where we stand compared to our neighbors. The result: scary. Let me know if you agree with my conclusion. Cheers!
