Language is power.... my grandparents taught me it is good to know the language of your enemies I have had many such encounters.... I am fluent in Armenian and don't look a bit Armenian so most think I don't know the language. I live in Canada now and attend regularly an Armenian church there and most people usually speak to me in French assuming I know the language and not Armenian... its funny most times..... but sometimes embarassing.... CK

Whoever originally wrote this is one "sick ticket" that is all I can say... I was disgusted when I first heard this and now that I see it translated I am even more sickened.... CK

I am not sure why anyone would want to change their given birth name no matter how hard it is to pronounce.... you should be proud of your name... especially if you were blessed to be given a true Armenian name... I wish I was but no my parents chose a French name for me which although is different and not too common I would have rathered an Armenian name to go along with my Armenian spirit. Armenian names are so rich in meaning and our culture... please don't change them for the sake of making it easier for Mr. Jones or Mr. Smith to pronounce. Charlotte AKA Hyespirited
