In “last years” of my childhood (yes... they are gone ) I decided, that there are not smart/stupid people, there are only lazy and hard-working people. As years have been passing by, I have been observing and my decision has become more firm. What do u think? Why is it, that over the same subject some people (the same age) have khelaci and some himar reactions? Some are very fast and some are too slaw? I think the “himar”, slaw ones don’t want to use their brain: there are too lazy, because too much thinking gives one a very bad headache Or they don’t care, are very irresponsible. I am just shocked and embarrassed of human stupidity (hatkapes hasakakicneri mej) every time i come across it, and i don't know how to get used to it. What are your ideas?

Any ideas why: 1. People push away happiness and then complain and complain and complain????? 2. Try their best to force others into unhappiness? 3. Are glad to see others as unhappy and lost as they are? 4. Can't stand others success and happiness??? We have been talking about these and many other related subjects at my place, and i just thought: "hey! I can ask the forum memebrs too!!!!" Have u ever thought of these questions? Any personal experiences? I don't want to blame on jealousy, cause i find it too childish.

Now because the world is a much smaller place than before, people just have chance to meet other kinds. It's like, the way chinese put it, walking alongside with time. It's not forgetting your kind or traditions. Just i told u before: TEACH THE LANGUAGE, HISTORY, THE ARMENIAN WAY OF LIVING and see if it will be easy to vanish.

Someone here asked for a solution. Here are some things that I think are very important for a culture to continue. 1. Language (and the writings, of course): lezun u gir-grakanutyun@ I have met a young man from the States whose parents were armenians, but he neither understood nor spoke any Armenian but "barev", "vonc es?", so just marrying your type in a foreign country or giving your kids the nationality of your kind is not enough, i think. I think it is essential to talk in our language to them, teach our history, poems, stories, legends etc. For kids going to an Armenian school could be the best, but that will be a problem for many countries with very few Armenians. So, we could sent them to Armenia. U know, many Korean students between 14-17 years old come to China and study in a Korean school in China. They study chinese, english and even another language with the course of school. they live in the school, of course. the food, occomodation etc is all included. Because of the vast majority of Armenians being abroad now, this could be a proper thing to do (also a very good business, u know ) 2.Despite of many teachings and what happens, I believe that humans are NOT evil. So, i believe that people will always choose the best over worse, so it's important to continue good traditions tipical to us (and other countries in the region too, i have to admit), like hospitableness, generosity, thinking about the others, being selfless, treating the guest like the God etc. u know many other people around the world are really stingy! let's just not become like them! For example, here there are people from certain countries who never invite u inside but keep u at the doorstep and talk to u like that. sometimes i get frastrated and want to do the same to them, but after half a minute i calm down and tell myself, that i won't behave like that, casue it's not 'Armenian' to treat a guest like that! and i know that my mother and grandmother would never do something like that! And there are sooooo many other things i could tell u about that i get angry and want to do, but i never do, cause it's not "the Armenian way"! a good Armenian would not do that! It's just as simple as it is! And Armenians are also known to be interesting and devoted as my foreign friends have told me Marrying a foreigner doesn't mean becoming a foreigner and giving up one's traditions and betraying the country! If u and your traditions are more humane and welcomed, then there are the ones to be learnt and carried forward: the best always wins! We feel much happier and welcomed in Armenia, so that's where we want to go during vocations. And that's how we want to behave in order for others to like us and enjoy being with us! It is very simple! have other ideas too, but got to go now

And, Sebastia, u know what? i am soooooo happy i have married my sweetheart! and the fact, that i have never met an armenian like him, makes me to thank God (i don't know who else to thank) all the time that my honey is not armenian. But I have to say that I read before a post by u on the Armenian identity, and i disagree with u: we have HUGE, different ideas on it, so it would not be proper for me to start talking about it with u, cause i think u have wrong idea about the armenian identity (my assumption is based on your posts in another topic).

Anahid Takouhi, the same thing works in the other direction too: MARRY THE ONE U LOVE OR VANISH! and, if u have ever loved, u should be able to understand what this means. Also, in this world which has become smaller and smaller (globalization, high-tech etc) the idea of "marry your own kind" is very weak and not proper. On the other hand, when poor human beings strive so hard for their life nowdays, they deserve to be with the one they love, and NOONE has the right to stop them from that happiness. Marrying without love is immoral and too hurtful, no matter the excuses: money, the age (many people have the excuse of being at the age to get married), children, getting out of the country, continuing the race... whatever the excuse is. i think marriage must be based on love. loving family is the strongest bases for the society. loving family=strong family will bring up healthier and better generation.

HA HA I know this was not addressed to me, but couldn't resist replying: I HAVE LEARNT CHINESE, IN FACT I ALMOST MASTER IT (like other armenian students who came and keep on coming to China to study), and I WILL TEACH CHINESE TO MY KIDS! i will teach them russian as well. armenian, english and french they will know anyway... What ever u might think of this, but for me the point is, like my grandfather has been saying always:"INCHKAN LEZU GITES, AYNKAN MARD ES!" Also, language is the greatest tool to the understanding of a culture, i think.
