  2. most things are percieved to be what they are. so if prayers are percieved to help someone while they are awaiting an outcome, then they have served their purpose as i see it.
  3. so i wonder, what will it take for ppl to go back to armenia? i mean, let's think for a min, where will armenia be in 8 yrs as ppl continue to leave? i've never been there, other than unemployement, what are some other reasons why armenians leave armenia.
  4. Sip that can't be, I got those listings from playboy site... http://www.playboy.com/on-campus/top10part...ools/index.html are they publishing two different reports. Do we need to personally visit the playboy mansion to sort this out? this is important, it needs our immediate attention.

  6. http://www.menq.am/imt_new/index.html this site is amazing in the sense that you can type an email in armenian and you will receive it in english, vice versa. Great multi-language support for common tasks. this site has many components that can be really useful, just think, what if you incorporate this multilanguage component into google searches. there's a border passport program too to identify counter feit and valid passport infos that's actually used in real borders. I've heard they've got sophisticated algorithms for data mining and queries. http://aitsystems.menq.am/pls/alfa/docflash_test.demo man, there's like a billion chinese ppl , they study in libraries all day long. Menq heyer, we spend couple of hours putting great sites likes this in some corner of internet who's functionality is truely novel/groundbreaking while those chinese and indians keep on studying in libraries for years to get a degree from uc irvine and call it an accomplishment.
  7. preservation is really important, what's gets me is, if we are creative enough to think of this, why arent the ppl who have possession of these artifacts doing something about it? isn't there a branch of armenian gov responsible for manuescripts/literature/etc?
  8. yeah, good point. there are diff types of fossils too, for example trace fossils may have been perserved here. and let's not forget, if u can't find it, you can probably find the thing that eats it althought i doubt that would help us much here.
  9. recently, i was diagnosed positive for MONO and i wanted to write down how to get over this just incase someone else gets it. http://kidshealth.org/teen/infections/comm...onucleosis.html http://www.mamashealth.com/mono.asp short answer is... -see a doc -take motrin to reduce swelling of throat -drink lots of fluids and gargle -rest it's a virus, so the way to beat it is with time. strep throat (bacterial infection) is very similar, but your lucky, antibiotics can kill bacteria so just go see your doc and pick up perscription. You should start seeing a different 2 to 3 days after taking perscription. Remember to finish perscription even if u start feeling better. Most contagious time for either is when you've got a fever. Else don't kiss strangers.
  10. i had heard something like the fossils we've discovered thus far have been only about 9% representation of the total # of fossils that could have been persereved. i mean just imagine how much we would know if we were to find all those other ones.

  16. when i used online dating, it was good b/c you can ask the questions important to you and hear the answers and see if u want to continue. just be careful, i used to hear from some girls that some guys ask for u'r pic and then threaten to post it on other sites. Just talk to the person first, get a feel and then.

i've heard southeast asia is inexpensive and nice to visit. i would never go there, but there are a lot of sites to visit and see. they are for the most part not hostile to americans but they do bite, atleast that's what i've been told. http://worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/as.htm singapore is cool, but on the expensive side. hell, have you looked into australia. It's bee-u-tiful.
  20. Apple Executive to Depart By REUTERS Avadis Tevanian, former head of Apple Computer's software business, is leaving the company after nearly a decade to pursue other interests, the company said yesterday. Mr. Tevanian, 44, joined Apple in February 1997 from NeXT, which the company purchased that year. He led the development of the Mac OS X operating system, which made its debut in 2001. It has undergone numerous revisions, but is still Apple's only operating system. Since 2003, he has been chief technology officer for Apple, based in Cupertino, Calif. "He's leaving the company to pursue other interests and plans to take some time off in the interim," an Apple spokeswoman, Katie Cotton, said of Mr. Tevanian.
