  1. It may be late, but since I can read it may i just say that both are the same thing
  2. You can't be so critical towards Armenia, Hunny. If you are critical about your own country what do you expect of others (e.g. even Americans). Why are you bothered by whore girls? As if there are none in the US. I belive there is an equal ratio of normal to sluty people. In fact your negativeness reminds me of a girl (American) who had to move to England with her parents and she hated it! She thought all the people (that is in the bording school) gave her death stares, her teachers disliked her just because of her accent and that everyone is in one or more ways "different" from those in the US. I have to tell you I shared a room with her and it was obvious that she was wrong, everyone was treating her fine. But the point is she is still here and she is doing fine, she has pleanty of friends and fun. I realise that Armeia is different but so is Uzbekistan and so is Russia, but it is getting better (after the fall of USSR). You have to see the beauty, though, of people and also the architecture etc. When you leave you will regret taking things for granted while you were there (in Armenia).
  3. That is so depressing! Now that you have said it, I see it. But on the other hand there are still a lot of Armenian comunities around the world and a lot of other nationals become "Armenian" (if you see what i mean) by constantly being in that comunity. I know a few people who actually became "Armenised". Though, your comment depresses me since I do feel that you may be right Mouse. It is inevidable. (i just totally contradicted myself didn't I?)
  4. Azat is totally right about the piroshki, my gran always told me that you never know what stuff they mixed in it! "It could be cat meat". But they are soooooo tasty when you are hungry. But there are also hachapuri with cheese (also so greasy). But i love the open one with egg (oh no! I have a craving now), and then you break off the hot bread from the sides and dip it into chess-egg mass. I'm hungry...
  5. Hey, when I go home (to Russian Caucas) during the summer holidays we still get Kvas in those yellow tanks like on every street corner. And tut is the best! It's my favourite! I love it when my grandma comes back from the market with a whole bag filled with tut. And all for me! And then your fingers and your teeth go purple. Also i remember my great grandma used to have one of those folding out cups which she always carried with her. And yes to use in the soda machines!
  6. Oh guys!! That comment was hilarious!! It reminds me of one of those nights when one celibrates something, a lot of old people sit around the table and by the end of the evening they are so tipsy on wine that they start arguing about insignificant staff (such as cinemas). And of course lots of others join into the "discussion" as well. And then.. someone just says "lav eli", although no ones view on the subject had been changed. I have to say i have never been to Armenia (to my embaressment), but it sounds just as i have imagined it to be. And now I want to go even more!
  7. Thank you I appreciate your, Armenian, hospitality.
  8. Ok ok i get that, but look i'm not pure Armenian, yet i'm proud of my Armenian roots. I'm sure if you plan to get serious with that girl and get married to her, than your kids will be proud of that heritage (it's all up to you how you bring them up). I think that all your 2nd and 3rd cousins will not think it's a disaster if you are with a non-armenian. Ok, so there will be gossiping but then they'll just get bored and stop and they'll accept it. But imagine if your girl will really get into Armenian culture (and maybe even start speaking the language), your relatives will be so impressed and even proud! They'll think she is totally cool!
  9. Gevo, I don't see why you shouldn't fall in love with a non-armenian girl. If she loves you back why do you both have to suffer (that's by keeping each other apart), just because you are probably scared of the judgement of Armenian comunity?

    Photo Essays

Those pictures are so powerful that they flood me with emotion. In fact the "CENTURY" bok by Phaidon had the same effect on me. I just wonder how the photographer must've felt when he had actual contact with those poor souls. Did it change him as a person?
